I know I am not the only one but who else here plays little tricks on there little ones because their reactions are so cute? I admit it I do. One of my favorite things I like do to is gently blow in her face.....when I do that she covers her eyes with her front paws (like she is praying) and it is so freakin cute! She hates it but every now and then I just have to do something to get on her nerves |
Yeah, that's cute... till they get wise to it and try to remove your nose...Ha! |
LOL, yep! I do it too.. I play hide and seek. When they are not looking, I sneak off and hide, in the shower, or behind a door to a room. When they notice I have left their presence, they come looking. It is so funny to peek out and watch them come in and look for you, turn around and leave, then come back. The best part is the surprise on their face when they find you!!! OMG.....LOVE IT! |

Me too. Tia doesn't like anyone to blow in her face. I do it and she just stares at me. I've been playing hide-n-go-seek for two years now. First it was Ally, now both of them. Both are really good at finding me! |

When I had my beagle daffodil many years ago I used to throw a ball and hide. Daffy would fetch the ball and try to bring it back to me. When she couldn't find me she used to search the house. It was really cute. |

Picture three Yorkies & a Beagle all lined up in a row in a sit-stay position, he would take a toy and pass it by each of their noses and give the sit-stay command again before exiting the room (& they only stay for him:rolleyes:). Then off he would go into a random room in the house and hide the toy...come back to the girls (still in their places) and give the command to "hunt" and off they went until one of them would discover the toy. I think seeing them hunting was the cutest thing...they looked like they were actually at work, like a small pack of drug:animal36sniffing dogs for the PD! :D |

My 'meanest' trick with Chloe is to pull a 'Charlie Brown & Lucy' on her. I act like I'm gonna throw a toy for her and fake her out. When she turns back to look at me (usually a fair distance away), I set the toy down and kind of twitch it. She'll sink down into her 'hunting crouch' and get really stiff. Then suddenly fly towards the toy and just at the last second I jerk it away. She will do it over and over again, but the longer it goes on the more aggravated she gets! And when she misses the toy, she lets out the most frustrated bark! It absolutely cracks me up. I'll also play chase with her and follow the same path several times. Then when she's running from me, I'll duck into a different room but she'll continue to the follow the old path. As soon as she runs by, I'll pop out of my hiding place and spook her! :) She always looks so happy to have found me! -C |
The bedrooms are off limits to the dogs but sometimes Ziva follows me into a room and I act like I didn't see her and close her in -Than I start calling for her.. she has to bark to answer "hey, here I am!" She is so quick and lively she knows each one of our favorite games, even tho there are 5 people. |
I do the hide and seek thing, Rizzo goes bananas when he finds me, and thus begins a game of chase which results in me falling/tripping/stumbling and pain usually follows. But I get a cuddle once he realizes he won :) My bf loves to blow in Rizzo's face, mostly because all he does is gives the bf a dirty look, and when get gets fed up he'll rub his face on my bf's chest and make the most pathetic annoyed noise in the world. Rizzo is so awesome, and I'm loving all these stories :D it's nice to know you're not the only crazy in the world, lol. |
Pixie, is the same way. We'll play hide and seek, but we have to call her and she must look in ever room in the house before finding us. |
