personal plea to all animal lovers. My sister was at the movies with some friends after school, and she hears a lot of commotion from the walmart parking lot next door to the movie theater. they head over and ask what is going on and find out that two teenage boys of about 15 bought a guinea pig from the petsmart down the street and let it loose in the parking lot so they could watch it get crushed by a car. luckily the security guard saw and began chasing the little guy. It took 40 min to catch the poor creature and they when my sister who was one of the last ones still watching asked what would happen to it she was told it would be taken to the pound and euthanized because they had no wear else for it to go my sister begged to be allowed to take it and the cop in charge said she could as long as she never ever mentioned it to anyone. so my plea anyone who is interested in helping out rescues but cannnot give money or foster dogs and cats call up some of your local rescues and ask about fostering small animals like guinea pigs rabbits chinchillas hamsters and gerbils. they are easy to care for and cost very little (my one guinea pig costs about $10 a month) and maybe it will keep small animals from being euthanized if rescues know they have some wear to go before you ask I know the boys wear caught by the police but I dont know how they will be punished yet. |
Good for your sister. I have two guinea pigs that I love. They are just like my dogs and they run around with them. Someone should tie those two kids in a parking lot and let the cars run over them. I don't how these kids are raised. |

We have a gang of middle school age boys who are from wealthy families, and tend to do horrible things to animals. They have traced several "pranks" back to the group. I would bet money that this was them too. |
How awful, don't parents teach their kids respect for all lives anymore. |
sad times if they would throw a new baby in the toilet or a trash can, it's no wonder they have no repect for the animal kingdom. |
That is so sick and scary that they think that is funny. Good for your sister for taking the poor thing home. |
she just got home with him. (took him to the vet to make sure he was okay before bringing him home to her guinea pig) he is the cutest little thing ever. he is almost all a really pretty dark brown brindle color except for his butt which has a tan lightning bolt on it my sister named him Choo-Choo because he is faster then a train. Seeing him makes it all so real and i burst into tears, I cant believe anyone would want to see him killed like that. |
thank GOODNESS he was saved!!! What awful kids!! Your sister is AWESOME for begging to save it's life!!! |
I am so glad that you and your sister were there to rescue the guinea pig. I know he will be well loved and taken care. The worst day in his life has now turned into the best. |

No they don't. The problem is that for so many of these kids the parents are not around or worse than they are. :( |
Oh my, how horrible, poor little thing must of been just so scared! I am so thankful that your sister was able to help, how very kind hearted.:animal36:animal-pa:aimeeyork |

Those kids are sick. Taking pleasure out of watching an animal suffer is a sign of psychological problems. At least there are people like your sister in the world who speak up instead of looking the other way. |

You should be ashamed for even thinking that. |
