Sick from Taste of the Wild kibble? Dog was pretty sick last week, vet couldn't figure out why - blood test revealed nothing. Very bad diarrhea. Put him on rice + hamburger for a week, got better. Yesterday he had some more food and is sick again. Only thing that has changed is letting him eat kibble again. Our other Yorkie is fine, but she has always been more hardy. Anyone else having problems? I'm afraid the food might be contaminated. He'll be back on rice + hamburger for a while then we're going to try a new kibble and see what happens. |

He may just not be able to tolerate the food, trying him on a new kibble is a good idea, try something lower in fat and protien. |

Just a thought... If the bag of food is bad, it could be from improper storage during transport, or by the retailer, or by the purchaser. There are a couple of retailers I won't buy from because their food bags feel like bricks. The kibble feels like it has been melded together. Be sure to check the expiration dates on all food you buy and store in a cool, dry place at home. Don't use kibble from a bag that has been open for more than a month. If you transfer to another container, make sure you use all of the kibble in the container and then wash and dry before reloading. Hope your pup is okay. |
