Is this what a yorkie cut should look like? I took my puppy to the groomer today. Hubby hates the cut hahaha. She looked like cousin it from the Adams family show. Long hair all over poor thing could not see her eyes hahaha. So I took her to the groomer and this is what I got today. Please tell me if this is what they are supposed to look like or what should I ask for next time. Thanks everyone. I think it is a little short. Well for my liking she was a long shaggy girl before. Had not had a cut since Oct. so she was long haired. I think I like around her face a little longer. I have only had her since July so I don't know what cut is most preferred. As with my dachshund they don't require much grooming. Just warm blankets and love.. And Yes Bella was making noises. She is very vocal. she makes some weird noises. If Bella would just learn to tell me she needs to go poop we would be alll GREAT... Hard to imagine that someone would want to give up such cuties. They both have a problem with barking at folks and animals that go by. Any suggestions? She is smart but soooo stubborn. She looks so sweet & sassy with her new lil' puppy cut!:D I like to change it up from time to time...sometimes we're sporting full coats, next time we're in puppy cuts. I even do the same with my Persian :cat0:, Tallulah who sometimes is in all her glorious long hair and then once a year...we just zip it all off into a Lion's Cut and let me tell you...I think she really prefers being nekked!:D |
She's a cutie! She just got a puppy cut :) Next time, take a picture so you get what you want. I groom my two myself because I never could get them to do exactly what I wanted :p |
I would love to groom her myself but I had my spine fused from c4-c7 with a titanium plate and screws hahah. So my neck movement is a bit limited. I have trouble looking down . So If I could get hubby to make her a grooming table that was high enough I might could do it. I just need to learn how.. |

she looks adorable! my little pixie is almost 8 months now and we took her in for first grooming a week before christmas, and i too feel they went a little crazy. similar cut to this, they took off more than i wanted them to and told them to, but even worse they cut out her topknot and gave her bangs! i was really sad about that.... hers is starting to slowly grow back again... i think im getting used to it... boyfriend also disliked the cut haha. lesson learned, i'm going to go back to doing all the grooming myself. |
Thanks everyone. I will know next time what to ask for. She is a silky so let that coat grow. and it is cold outside so brrr I better make her a pink valentines top... She is such a mess. |

Miss Bella is strong willed. I have shaken pennies, tapped her tush. moved her from the spot. talked sweetley to her and she bit my lip. OUCH.. Umm she gets in the zone and take forever to calm down. poor girl. she was locked in the laundry room before I got her so now she wants to protect and serve hahhahha.. She does have her hang ups. Bless her heart we are her forever family and will not give up on her. |

Yes had to break up a fight over a buttery towel ( I was cooking wiped my hands and dropped the towel on the floor) They went for the throats. Emma the weiner let me put my hand in her mouth and open it to get bella out. I pushed bella out of the way to get the towel but she came back with a furrrrrry and latched onto my fingers and hand. I ended up on antibiotics,, But I still love her. She just needs to not be so BIG FOR HER LIL BRITCHES.. |

First of all there is no such thing as a not-adorable Yorkie, and second....she is totally beautiful in her new "do". |
I like the short cut and keep my dog in one too. Your dog looks very sweet. Hubby will get used to it and it all grows back fast! |
