I am posting all over the internet! I just found out last night that one of our puppies that was adopted in early December was stolen a few weeks ago! I know that time is key and I wish I would have known about this as soon as it happened, but I am hard at work now getting the word out.

STOLEN YORKIE!!! Please help, pleasant hope, springfield, mo, missouri - Yorkies of Walnut Hill

Paco is 5 months old, about 4 - 5 pounds, was stolen in the Pleasant Hope, Missouri area from the front yard of his home. Please get the word out!

And, PLEASE, don't let your babies go unattended anywhere that someone else has access to! I am heartbroken over this!

Im so sorry that this has happened..:( i pray you can locate him....people just never cease to amaze me anymore...it is really sad :( keeping this pup in my prayers....

I'm so sorry. I feel so sorry for the lil guy. I have a fenced yard and I still always go out with mine. There aren't any people close by, but there are all kinds of other dangers to a little yorkie.

Thank you guys! We need loads of good thoughts and prayers!

I am really, really mad at whoever took this precious puppy. What kind of person takes a member of a family? I am so worried about Paco.... I have no idea where he is or if he's okay. This is the first I have dealt with a lost or stolen Yorkie, and as upset as I am, I cannot imagine the pain someone goes through when a child is taken.

I am also upset with the new owner. Though, I haven't told her that. This entire situation could have been prevented, and I know she is completely upset at herself, so I don't want to make it worse by saying it's partially her fault or something. I am also mad at myself for not microchipping him before he left. He was just so little I thought it would be okay to wait until he was neutered, which was scheduled for this month. :(

I am so sorry for the baby's mom and for you!! I have faith with the YT community on it (and the good advice of the members) he will be found.

You are right about watching our babies -- fur or skin--- never leave unattended!!

This is a very very upsetting thing to read about.
I can imagine how bad you must feel.
You've probably already done this, but I will mention it anyway. Have you used Craig's list or ebay classifieds or Bookoo in the MO. area? You can place a free ad, stating all the important info, and even photo's. It would'nt hurt to try and spread the word as much as you can. Also, facebook is a great source to reach out to a zillion different people in massive locations. I'd be happy to post it on my FB page and ask my friends to repost..and repost...and repost....if you like?

We need to get this pup back home safely!!

I would be grief stricken if something ever happened to our little Sophie. I'll be praying for Paco's safe return.

Thank you, Jackie! Yes, please post on your FB. I posted the link all over facebook - my page, the splash page, like 4 lost dog pages - I put an ad on craigslist, in the local paper, and sent emails with the lost poster to animal control, the local humane society, local vets, and local groomers, too. Some friends are printing the posters and putting them up all over the area he was lost/stolen. We just need to get the word out - maybe someone will recognize him! So far, since I created the page on the website, it's had over 150 hits since 11 am! Just need to keep the momentum going. :)

Have you thought about putting an ad in the newspaper with a picture of him? I live outside of Springfield and one of my best friends lives in Pleasant Hope....I will pass this along to her. She had someone steal her 2 Labs last year and she knows many people in that area so she let EVERYONE know that she would not stop until her dogs were brought back to her! She came home from work one day and guess who was sitting in their fenced backyard....yep, her 2 Labs. ;) They were dirty and thin, but home and that's all that matters. She posted ALLLLLLLL over Facebook (and other places) and was constantly posting on there, "BRING MY DOGS BACK....I WON'T STOP LOOKING AND TALKING AND ASKING QUESTIONS UNTIL THET ARE SITTING IN MY YARD AGAIN!" ;)
