Im sooo Sad but happy at the same time... Well It has been 1 year since I have had my sweet little Izzy.. And during this time I have chosen not to work.. Well I had an offer come in to go Back to work for an Optometry Office in town and I couldn't pass it up.. It's only 20-30 per week and the pay is great, I don't have to work any weekends and I'm home for the kids after school most of the time.... That means less time alone time with my Izzy:(.. In the morning we would cuddle on the couch and watch T.V or she would be with me at the computer laying at my feet...I have NEVER been away from her more then 2-3 hours at a time... She goes Everywhere with us... My husband will be with her though, he doesn't go to work till 4pm so thats good... But I"M GOING TO MISS HER SO MUCH!! I hope she will not be mad at me for being away:( She is my little baby |
Ha! Good Luck at work... but I think somebody will be mad at you! |
I think you are lucky to have a job opportunity especially in Michigan during these economic times. Having your husband home with Izzy will still be good for her although I'm sure Izzy will miss you. In time she should acclimate to her new routine. Good luck:) |
LOLOL.. Thanks Kjc..lol.. MiYorkielover...And I know I'm very lucky to have this offer.. I just know Im going to miss her dearly.. My hubby is excited that he get more time with Izzy.. He already said that he can't wait to spoil her rotten so she'll love him more:eek:... I about cried when I heard that..lol |

I have the same situation. I'm starting a new job the end of this week. It's part time and flexible hours and only 5 minutes from home. I feel so bad leaving Sammy. I know my sons are in and out and they will take good care of him but those sweet puppy faces sure can make you feel guilty. Good Luck with your new job! |
Hi, Rebecca! Well, I am happy for you that you received such a nice job offer, but I do understand how you feel, about being away from Izzy. I've never been away from my girls, except the times I've been in the hospital, and that was soooo hard. I would have nearly cried if my DH teased me about spoiling one of my babies rotten while he was home, too. Think of it this way, you can always quit, if you miss her too much. Hugs, Sheila |
Thanks everyone!!! :) I'll always have night-time cuddles with her:D and those are the best!! I'm so glad I got the play n' play for her.. She will not have to be in her crate if hubby has to leave for any reason. She'll have her toys and bed... And maybe now I'll get those " out of control, can't take" tail wags that she always gives hubby and the kids:D..lol.. |
Congratulations on your new job! Try not to worry, im sure it will be hardest on you!! Youre lucky that hubby will be there with her and it will be some good bonding time for the two of them!! Good luck!!:) |
Congrats on the job. Dinky hates it when I go to work. Be prepared for some really accusatory looks! She will be fine. Really. |
I have been with my dogs for three years pretty much all the time. I to just started a job only like 20 hrs a week. And boy when i get home my Lexi has to chew me out for a couple of minutes. And then she is fine again. I always say i am going home to get yelled at lol and when the phone rings I say tell Lexi I will be home soon. I love my yorkies they are so great........................... |
Congratulations on your job. If she gets lonely you could always get her a friend. |
Look at it this way! Even though Izzy won't be speaking to you for awhile, think of all the great clothes and toys you can buy her.:D |
I am so happpy for you with your new job!!! You will get the crazy tail wags when you come home and your fur but will be happy to see you. My dh also teases me that Remy likes him more because she sleeps on his lap when we are watching tv:mad: -- but I am glad he is in and out during the day so they do get attention and love while I am away. :p I do miss them, I have their pictures on my phone and peak at them time to time. |
