What to do?? My female yorkie is 13 weeks old, my male mini doxie is 5 months old. Should I have just him fixed, just her or should I have both of them fixed??? I really don't know what to do. Any suggestions would really be appreciated it. Thanks. |
Congrats on your new little girl. I would have the boy fixed first, around 7-8 months, you will stop lots of bad behavior, like marking. Yorkies usually need some baby teeth pulled when they are fixed, but I don't know about Doxies. She should be fixed around 9 months, and she will probably need to have some baby teeth removed at the same time. There are many low cost spay and neuter clinics available, that you might like to check out. .SPAY-USA. You can also do a google. |
Definitely get the both fixed. As Nancy posted wait until they are older. |
Having them both spay or neutered is very good for their health in addition to preventing unwanted litters. Like Nancy said you can have your little guy done first and she can be done after. |
I vote with the others,,,having both animals fixed and you have no worries should the one not fixed gets away from you...also it is better for their overall health...good luck.... |
Thank you all so much for your input! |
I would fix both of them. Trust me, it will make your life a lot easier! :) |
