Who knew? We have now had Izzy for 1 month and I cannot believe how much you can love them. We have always had large dogs (mastiff's) and I adore them, they are part of our family. But having Izzy is like having another child around the house. It's like they attach to you and never let go. I have never known this kind of affection from an animal. Our mastiffs are wonderful, they love seeing you come home, they protect our family and they are beautiful. Izzy is different, she's like my children were when they were young attached at the hip..... for anyone on here considering sharing your life with one of these amazing babies, I highly suggest it. |
It is amazing, I never thought it was possible to love them so much:) |
It is amazing isn't it. |
That truly is the best word to describe it!! Amazing! Even more amazing to me is that my husband (who never grew up with a dog in the house) feels the same way about them that i do!!:D |
I catch my husband loving/playing with her all the time. When I first started researching the breed about a year ago he said I was crazy. Couldn't understand why I would want one of those little yappy dogs around the house. I now catch him playing with her all the time, it's amazing the power they have over these big, giants. |
I have 4 and I love each one of them soooooo much. I couldn't even think about what it would be like around here without any one of them. Sometimes I hate to even get up from my chair because they all come running. My washer and dryer are downstairs and everytime I go down I have 4 little ducks following me. They are just soo cute. If I am sitting on the couch they all have to crowd around me. If there isn't enough room for my "baby", Wally, he just lays down on top of the pile and they don't even care. They make me laugh everyday. I was just telling my husband that they want to run around in the back yard and I feel bad because we have about 18" of snow on the ground so I just shoveled them a path, but they want to run and play. :snow::snow::snow: You know "Zoomies" lol I have 4 children and these guys are like my second litter, haha they are really my babies. :D |
Very nice thread. :) My life has gone completely to the dogs, and I am loving every minute of it. :D:) |
It really is soo True..... I've had dogs all my life but there is nothing like a Yorkie..... I just Love my Riley more & more every day. :) |
I feel the same. I've had dogs my entire life, big ones, little ones, pedigreed and mixed. They have all been wonderful and I adored each but these two little girls are just different. They are always with me or on me. Willow thinks my legs are hers. "Carry me mommy." I can't imagine not having them, in fact, I want another one. I truly have never had this kind of devotion. |
I know rite???!!! i always made fun of my friends talking about their little doggies... but now i am understand... they are WONDERFUL creatures... i never thought i could love Chloe so much... she makes me SOOOO happy!! |
Me too Maximo, can't get enough time with them. |
I used to laugh and make fun of people that treated their dogs like humans. Lol. Now I am one of them! :p I agree. This breed just wraps themselves right around your heart. They make you love them and they like being loved. Rosie has been one of the best things I have ever gotten. |
I know! We are both so crazy about Dinky. We had a yellow lab who we loved to pieces, but Dinky is our baby. |
Looks like you're addicted, just like the rest of us. |
Yes you just get to the point you can't imagine possibly leaving them even with other family members. I am having to leave Mia with her brothers and sisters so I can take a quick business trip. My dh was the same way not enthused about getting a Yorkie and well now he comes in at night, he has to go sit down with tuna salid and a cracker and that is their special time...She worships him and well it is reciprocated. I already want to get home but worry that if I did take her some of the casinos in Vegas would be less than enthused. I am leaving for World of Concrete but hoping to get right back! |
