Here are a few links that explain some of the concerns: Dangers of Soy | Food Renegade Soy Dangers Summarised The Dangers of Soy Soy Linked to Many Human and Animal Health Conditions Many dog foods and dog treats contain soy. Many human food products contain soy. Personally, I avoid these types of foods for myself and my dogs. Mine like carrots too.:) |
Levi loves lots of treats, but he isn't very picky about anything. Some of his favorites are Wellness Pure Rewards, Zukes mini training treats, and one-ingredient freeze-dried chicken or freeze-dried lamb bites (we use the Whole Life brand frequently). He loves any fresh fruit or veggie that I let him try (favorites are carrots, green beans, pineapple, and apple). He also loves to chew on bully sticks. |
Jamie also likes veggies and the Wellness soft treats, but her latest obsession are the chicken jerky sticks from trader Joes. They are made in the US and seem really healthy. |
I've been giving Paisley little pieces Vanilla Wafer Cookies. Someone mentioned marshmallows. My vet said to never give a dog marshmallows. |
Beamer and Lil Bit love carrots. They love the beef jerky and chicken jerky I make for them. They also like the Cesar gourmet treats They are not too fond of the cookie type treats, but they do love the Honey's Bakery treats. I got them some Claudia's Canine Cuisine cookies (made by the same people as Honey's Bakery) but they are a little big so I have to cut them into 4 pieces. |
Jack eats everything! But he loves, loves, loves Whole Life dehydrated chicken. |
the only treat that Bear would eat is Dogswell Vitality Chicken Breast |
Carrots, blueberries, apples, bits of cooked chicken and frozen green beans are the favorite treats in my house. They'll pick those over doggie cookies any day. |
Milk Bones are not happening with my furbaby. She will sniff and turn her nose up as she walks away. :p They try to give her these at the bank all the time. I finally just tell them to keep it because she will not eat it. Rosie loves the Honey Bakery cookie treats that Sylvia was talking about. She also likes Wellness Pure Rewards in the Beef. Her fav had to be the ones I made for her. They were a soft treat and had chicken in them. She ate them like there was no tomorrow!!!! |
natural... My Tucker won't eat Milk bones either. But he does like Fruitables, and the Growlin gourmet (natural) biscuits. He likes the peanut butter or cheese flavor (you can order them from Callmepetsitter.com). Very resonably priced, and you don't feel so bad giving them to them! Good Luck finding the perfect treat!! Carrie & Tucker :aimeeyork |
Tonight mine had sardines as a treat. I was out of egg noodles so I opened a can of sardines in water and I gave each of them a couple of bites of sardine and a couple tiny bites of cheese. Most of them loved it.:) |
Scooter loves puporonies or however you spell it lol. Sadie likes them to but there favorite thing is boiled chicken, they go nuts for it. Scooter will not touch the milk bones but Sadie will, shes not crazy about them but if it is all I have, she eats them. My babies are spoiled :littleangRIP Sophie Lynn Mommy loves and misses you |
GoGo also loves bananas and cheerios. I tried using bits of cheese for training, but it gave her terrible gas! Switched to soft chunky-style dog food, broken into little pieces. I found a really stinky kind, and she loves it. I haven't given her bacon, but she really, really wants some. Does the smell of bacon make all dogs go a little crazy? I don't like the idea of regularly giving her "people food", but I'm still learning what is best for her. |
Rio and Bullet love Fruitables pumpkin and apple treats, Zukes soft treats, and Buddy Biscuits Itty Bitty peanut butter treats. They also love plain organic yogurt, apples, and carrots. I think their favorite are fresh apples bits with the skin cut off. |
My two LOVE their Yorkie Yummie's by Chattiesmom. Maggie May also likes the occassional treat of bananas (dehydrated or not) and dehydrated sweet potatoes. |
