I have missed everyone I am so sorry I have not been around but things have been so hectic here. Sadie went into heat two days before her spay date so now we have to wait on that because it is dangerous to spay while in heat, so I have heard and I am not taking any chances with my baby. Scooter is going nuts trying to get to her and Mommy is going nuts keeping them apart. Scooter thinks I am mad at him because I will not let Sadie go on walks with us, they have to be separated at all times so he thinks he has done something wrong. Sadie has no idea why she has to wear diapers but she is being very good about it. Poor baby does not understand why she can not go on walks, I think that she thinks I am punishing her or something. They have to go outside at different times and I know they are missing each other but I am not taking any chances. I finally found a new house to move into, 2700 square feet. It is huge and the backyard is fully fenced in so I can finally let these guys run in the yard, of course they still need to be watched until the snow melts and I can make sure there is nothing out there for them to get into. So, Sadie is in heat, Scooter is going nuts, Mommy is going nuts and on top of it all, I have to move in two weeks. Calgon take me away. My babies are spoiled :littleangRIP Sophie Lynn Mommy loves and misses you |
That same thing happened to me with Willow. It was last year, Labor day wk-end. She was going in the first of the week and on Sun. night she began to show. Then my Vet wouldn't spay for another 2 1/2 months because of the harmones and the different cycles of the heat that I didn't even know existed. Anyway it put it up to the first of Dec. and I didn't want a sore baby at Christmas so she was finally spayed in Jan. At least I didn't have your other concerns. My other is a female and they are never outside without a leash and me. Just keep repeating, "this too shall pass." :D I feel for you but gosh! You have a new house, how exciting. Best of luck. |
Sorry to smile, but I sooo relate! I have 3 spoiled babies and brought my elderly ill mother who also has Alzheimer's for a visit. Just can't not bring her when she is able.. Bless her heart, she just could not remember NOT to feed people food - no matter what treats I gave her for them! I had one spoiled rot with diarrhea from OREO's she had shared, one with liver and health issues that I watched like a hawk, and one that was sneaking anything that she forgot where she put down.. But what a blessing to have so much love. Did get a bit flustered, and a few headaches, but the joy of doggie and family. |
