Growing out bangs?? 2 Attachment(s) Mabel just turned 8 months old and her body hair is growing nice and thick and very straight. I believe she'll have a silky coat, unlike Darwin's softer coat. Maybe I'm just impatient, but how long does it take to grow out bangs. I'm missing seeing her eyes - even when we try to do a top knot, a few minutes later the hair closer to her eyes pops out and she looks like a sheep dog. I've tried the top knot gel and she rubs it off on the carpet. The first picture is Mabel now a days and the second one is when she had eyes at about six months. I'd love to hear from anyone who's gone through this waiting period and how long did it take to grow out the bangs? Thanks!:) |
I remember that stage and it drove me crazy seeing the hair near Piccolo's eyes. Then, I had the groomer cut it and had to put her through this again. :( I think there is a dog hair gel you can use to help, but I never tried it so cannot recommend. Maybe someone else has some great advice on that? |
Looks like Mabel is getting close to where the hair will lay down. Every day, comb and train the hair to go down the sides of the snout, rather than stick straight back from the nose into the eyes. After baths, comb the hair in the correct direction so that it doesn't dry sticking into the eyes. Be sure to not point the blow dryer in the wrong direction, up the snout. Every dog is different and hair will grow at different rates, but if you want to see a comparison, go to my photo album of Maximo on my personal page. In the first picture of Max in his bed (looking very mischievous), he is 8 months old. I had cut his bangs at 5 months old when I thought I was going to keep in a puppy cut. His mustache is still sticking up a little into his eyes. |
