Thank you & God Bless you. I know Sandra really is thankful for all of the prayers. The candles are so important. They are the light that will guide Rikki home, because they are the light of our prayers. Hugs, Sheila P.S. Thank you for keeping Sandra in your prayers. I am really very worried about her. She is not doing well, at all. She needs Rikki back home with her, in order for her to be able to function. |
We truly believe that someone found Rikki the weekend she was lost, and wants to keep her. So, please pray that Our Lord opens their heart, and helps them to understand, that Rikki will only be 100% happy, if she is returned to her Mommy, Sandra. We all know how our little ones bond to us. I had major surgery in 2007, and even though our girls love their Daddy, Kia is a "Mama's Baby" & my tiny Kia grieved terribly while I was in the hospital. My DH said, on the 3rd night, he was in the shower and he heard this terrible sound - he got out of the shower and walked down the hallway to our living room, and there my tiny Kia, sat, between the coffee table and the front door, just howling this heart-wrenching moaning, staring at the front door. He said it just tore his heart out. He didn't tell me until I was released, but he did call me a 2nd time that night to say "Good Night" and put the phone to Kia's ear, so we could "talk" again. She has this way of communicating with me, with different tones to her voice, and literally can seem to say words, and answer questions. Oh, how I wish everyone knew how sometimes these kids bond tightly to one person. Thank You & God Bless All Of You, Sheila |

Lauren, You are such a sweetheart! Rikki is a tiny 4.5# gorgeous Maltese, and I look at my tiny 4# Kia, (Yorkie) and I can understand the temptation on someone's part to keep Rikki, but I too, pray that they will consider Rikki's feelings, 1st and foremost. I pray they understand, how bonded these kids are to us. (Even if they don't care that our lives revolve around our babies.) Prayer is the most important thing we need right now. We need God's Divine Intervention to bring Rikki home. Hugs, Sheila |

I understand the temptation, too, and I do hope and pray they find it in their hearts to return Rikki to her Mommy & Daddy. "Just a dog" is my pet peeve, too! My girls are my children. And they have all of the feelings of children. A number of years ago, a friend of ours found a dog that was dumped. The dog became so attached to our friend. I believe she was just so grateful that he saved her and gave her all the love in his heart. She followed him everywhere. Followed him when he plowed. However, his wife, did not like this medium size dog in their home, felt she was too big, knocking things over with her tail, etc. So, she convinced him to let her brother and his wife take her. Every time they visited her brother, the dog was so incredibly happy to see our friend, no one else got her attention. She laid on his chest and stayed there. His wife regretted her decision and asked her sister-in-law if they could have her back, and would you believe, she said, "No"? I was stunned, that anyone could care so little for a dogs feelings. She saw how the dog responded to her brother-in-law. No, Rikki's family won't ever give up on her. Sandra has so paid for so lost dog service contracts, and an amber alert for dogs, and they send out 3,000-5,000 flyer's every week. But when it snows, Sandra looks at the snow, depressed, and goes to bed. I pray for her, as much as I pray for Rikki. Today, it has been 4 weeks since Rikki was spotted at the two different church's. The Pastors of both of those church's saw her, in the snow, and left her there, this tiny, helpless little dog. Makes me have 2nd thoughts about organized religion. Yet, I attend mass every morning, praying for Rikki to be returned. Love, Sheila |
Lit another. Keep up the vigil. |
I'm not religious so I don't fully understand the candle lit. But I will send all my positive energy that she is well and being taken care off. I lost my dog and it took three weeks to find him again. So please don't loose hope, search and post in every shelter and look up craiglist and see if there's any ads that could be the little one. XOXO |
