Barkfest First, you need to know that Kacee is a very quiet yorkie and barks very little. I just took her out in her yard. We live on one-acre lots, too. She heard the little yorkie up the street barking and she knows her, so... Anyway, she started barking back at her. Then another dog would start barking, then another, then another. I allowed this to go on for a little while. I was laughing out loud. It was so funny. Every dog in the neighborhood and a few further away got into the act. I just couldn't stop laughing. Now, she is laying here next to me and still woofing under her breath!:D |
Awww. They were 'sharing information'. |

Have you seen the old original version of 101 Dalmatians? The dogs had a barking alarm system. I can't remember what it was called. Every time I hear neighborhood dogs barking it reminds me of it. Was it the Scottland alarm? |
How cute :) I bet they were telling all their doggy secrets :p |

That was my favorite movie when I was a kid (the cartoon version). I had the record that told the story. I know that dates me! I listened to it all the time. Does anyone remember canine crunchiest? Sorry - I didn't mean to hijack the thread! |

Oh yeah! Old Yellar was another one. My parents didn't even want me to watch it. I cried too. |

It had to be the 60s. I was born in 58 and it was my favorite movie when I was little. I was like you. I loved every dog and for that matter animal movie. I loved Black Beauty too! |

I recently learned that howling, "wooowooooowoooo," is the dog's way of sending long distance messages. Max does it in the house when I take Teddy out alone. |
