Shaking yorkie My Mia was groomed on 12/31. Since then she has been shaking off and on. She is also sleeping more than usual. Do you think this can be related to her grooming, or not feeling well???? |
Since its been a few days since the grooming I dont think thats the reason but I could be wrong. When did it start was it right after the grooming. Sometimes grooming does scare them though |
When Mia was groomed, could she had pulled a muscle or something? One time Sammy was limping a little after being groomed and the next time he tried to bite the groomer. We figured he got injured while she was grooming him and he remembered it when she came back. We switched groomers after that! Hope Mia is feeling better. |
Shaking can be a sign of pain or discomfort. Is she eating and drinking normal? Are her poops normal? Could she have eaten something bad? Not to scare you but when Rio had the shakes, she ended up having pancreatitis. |
Could she have picked up something at the Groomers? |
my JJ never shaked until a few months ago but its only when she has to go pee pee and then after that the shaking stops. when does the shaking start and for how long ? |
Hi and Welcome to YT! What type of grooming did she get? If she had a lot of hair removed, she could be cold.... |

A number of years ago, my girls had been going to a Boutique where they told me they hand blow dried them. Apparently, not always. One afternoon, we picked them up, and when it was time for Sydney to go in her crate, she began shaking. This went on for a week, when I happened to mention it to a Breeder I know, and she told me that the shaking was from being over-heated because she had been cage dried. And, the experience had frightened her. She feared her crate, her former safe-haven, for months. Needless to say, we stopped using that groomer. Later, we heard other people had problems with her. |
Do you know if the groomer uses any kind of chemical or drug to calm animals while gromming? |
Hope your baby is feeling better now, and that it did not have a negative experience at the groomer's. Hearing these kind of reports (and worse ones) is one of the main reasons, I do not leave Pepper with any groomer. Not easy to find someone who is prepared to let the owner stay while the furbaby is being groomed, however. Still, I insist. Quote:
