Does this mean she is in a crate at night? Does she have food available during the night? |
OMG 8 ounces? So tiny. Welcome. Does she have a name? |
Oh man she is so tiny and CUTE! what a sweetie! Welcome to YT! We need more people 'reppin' NC!!!! Hannah |
She is soooo cute. Can remember when I got Cassie at 6 weeks old, she was 1.8 pounds. I thought that was small. Be very careful of her jumping or falling off something. Look forward to more pictures. |
Hi and welcome to YT! Your baby is adorable! I wanted to empasize what has already been said about making sure she eats EVERY TWO hours, even throughout the night. At this age and this weight she should have food and water out and available at all times. I would use pedialyte instead of water and make sure she gets the nutrical or nutristat several times a day. She needs you 24/7 right now and until she is 16 weeks old at least. She is basically a new born preemie and should never be left alone. She is adorable and you are lucky to have her. Good luck. |
Welcome to YT. She certainly is a cutie, but as it has been said: She is soo young and so tiny. I'm surprised her breeder let her go. Mine was iffy to let Chewy go at 11 weeks and 1.6 lbs! The advice you have gotten is solid. The nutrical/stat is the most important thing at this time. What are you feeding her? I know my breeder gave her small babies a puppy cereal that is easy for them to eat. Please post more pics and giv us updates on her progress. She is lovely, you must be in love already! |
She is so adorable! Welcome to YT, I am new here myself, and I get to pick up my little guy tomorrow. My breeder will not allow them to go home one day before they are twelve weeks. Not onw single day. At first I thought my breeder was a natzi, because I was put through a TON of questions. I felt like the only thing she didn't ask for was my credit score. However, she also answers all of my questions, encourages me to call ANYTIME. I know her babies are her FIRST concern. I have found several along the way, who were willing to ask for your money, but offered no guarantee, and the pups weren't papered. (Not that I wouldn't take one if it wasn't papered, just if I am still paying the same price I would like to have them). My breeder offers a guarantee. It is a great one (I think), there are some exclusions, but offers a lifetime guarantee against open fontanel. Three years on breed requirements, meaning if for some reason the puppy grows up and doesn't meet the breed standards you get a credit. And a one year health guarantee that protects against hereditary conditions. I really think as anxious as we get, we have to remember our little babies need that time to develop, and the breeder can specifically monitor things, most of us don't know to look for! Oops----long post. I am not an expert, your little babie is so adorable. I can't wait to watch her grow up. |
What a cutie! Everyone has given you good advice.... just keep an eye on her and I am sure she will be OK. Best of luck with your little one!! :) |
