Saving Gracie How one dog escaped the shadowy world of American Puppy mills I just read this book called, Saving Gracie. It is about a puppy mill bust and it follows Gracie a King Charles Cavalier who was born and used as a producer for a puppy mill for 6 years of her life. I cried just about the entire way through... It is a touching story and it makes me want to reach out and help so many little ones in need. If your interested check it out.. but be prepared to cry. I may add that to my New Year's reading. I always look forward to crying all of the way through a book.:( I'm sure it will be an eye-opener. |
I love King Charles Cavalier Spaniels. They had a rescue in my old town and I applied, but by the time they got back to me; I already had Lucy. My girlfriend got one that was shipped to her from Missouri - at about 6 weeks old. I'm thinking possible puppymill on that one. |
i may have to have a copy of that i looks amazing. that lady lives in the same city my dad's good friend lives in. |
I've looked at that book, and I've read such wonderful things about it. I definitely want to read it. I read the book Amazing Gracie, which is a heartwarming story about a deaf great dane. I was attracted to it first just because of the name, since when I was given my little Gracie. she had already registered by the name Amazin' Grace. I definitely would recommend reading it, since it's very touching. |
