Two Yorkie's in the Camden Delaware SPCA I happened to be looking on Petfinder , this evening. They had two yorkies listed on the Camden Delaware SPCA. I was affaid of that. They have them listed as part yorkie. I think they both look like yorkies to me. I do a lot of fostering and some rescuing. I was not wanting any more babies because I already have 6 babies. 4 are yorkies. I fostered 7 yorkies and Maltese for Bonnie (Nikis2 ) when she found the large puppy mill in Pocamoke Md. I was wondering if anyone else thinks they look like they are part yorkie or all yorkie. I was thinking about calling them to see if they still have them Tomorrow. I might go and talk to them about me adopting them or fostering them and trying to get them placed in a Good home. I just do not think those places check the people out very good before they are adopted. I dealt with them before, I fostered a few dogs for them before. I just do not know if I would just be better off not looking on those websites, or should I go with my heart. Try getting both the male and the female, get done what needs to be done and find a good home for them. Thanks for any input. |

I think it's great what you're doing! I would totally do the same! I'm currently waiting for my foster from YTNR. I don't know why, but I don't see too many yorkies at rescues and shelters around here. They look full yorkie to me, but they might have written mix because they seem a little on the bigger side? One has longer snout and legs...But, they are adorable!! |
I don't see them listed? |
I just logged on to Petfinder. I found a one year old female yorkie for adoption in my area. Well, I am going with my heart too. I have a friend who is looking for one so I am going to work on getting this little girl adopted! She is exactly what my friend has been looking for. Keep your fingers crossed that this baby will go home with my friend! So, I must say, go with your heart. Just go for it!!! I am AMAZED at how many yorkies there are in the rescues. How sad. :( |
I called Kent Co. ASPCA today. The two yorkies were adopted last night. I hope with a good family. I will never know, But I need to stay off of these websites. Thanks for all of your help. |
The one in my area was adopted today!! I also hope she went to a good home. I am like you, I need to stay off the websites too! |

My friend, who has one yorkie and will give another a wonderful home, is looking for a young female. If you see any in your searches that end up being close to Arkansas please let me know. I am hitting the websites that I know of. Also, if anyone knows of rescues in my area please send me the names. She is ready to get one today. She has a male that is 10 months old but he is neutered. But she really wants a female. I am trying to help her find one. The one I found today was perfect for her. She is really upset about missing the opportunity to get her. So, any info will be appreciated!! Thanks |

It is so sad. I look at those sites too and I always find at least 5 that I want to bring home. I am not able to adopt because I don't have a yard. The SPCA is sooo strict in my area. :( |
They are strict here as well. That is okay. I use to foster for them. I like that they are strict, I wish the ones around here would do home checks like the rescues do. |

I think both of you ladies are great for wanting to help out these poor babies. I wanted to foster or rescue also but they wont let me because I have too many cats. So I was refused twice. I did end up adopting Oliver who was abandoned with his three sisters by my home. Someone left them in a carton and took off. They were all adopted by people in a matter of minutes. We Got Oliver and he's so great. He's a Shih Tzu but the vet is not sure if he's pure bred or not. Who Cares. |
