What color will my Yorkie be? I have a 10 week old baby. I didn't know that she would change color until I took her to the groomer for the first time. How do I know what color she will end up being. Also, at what age do they start to change? |
Hi, your baby is too young to know her final color. Do you know her parents? She will probably get her parents colors. Also please post pics and tell us some more info about your puppy like name gender etc Happy holidays |

my baby is almost two & still has the base color of black with some blonde/brown. I'm happy she stayed black, that's just how she is. & most yorkies usually end up blondies but she's different :-) what's your babies name ? |
Her name is Bitsy, I have pics posted of her. No I don't know the parents, my husband got her for me. It was a total surprise!! :) |
GREEN! LOL sorry...read a few of the other threads on color or more so color changing...despite the obvious she should take after her parents you'll also see no on can tell you she can change color multiple times before maturing around 3 years old. 10 weeks is really young to get her...most breeders (good ones) keep Yorkies until they are 12 weeks old at least, did you get her from a breeder? If so did they give you pics of her parents and AKC registration? We want pics, her name and pics! Congrats! |
Congrats on your new baby they are the best :) |
