Quite Sad I was looking up something on the internet 2 days ago and came across this site which is quite sad for the dogs. :( Auction 2 :thumbdown:thumbdown |
That's a Puppymill going out of business. They have auctions and the dog's go to the highest bidder. So, sad since most of these poor babies are put right back into the cycle of the Puppymill's to be breed again and again. |
Disgusting! |
This right here particularly disgusted me... "They have been good producers and many will be bred or have puppies by sale date." Who refers to beloved animals as "producers"?:thumbdown Obviously, these people are NOT loving caring breeders and are monstrous money grubbers... |
Very sad indeed. That is a lot of dogs. It makes my heart heavy. |
That particular auction was Dec. 4th, but this auctioneer does this for a living.:( Our Specialty is liquidating Dogs, Portable Kennels, Kennel Real Estate & Kennel related items through the marketing method of auction. Southwest Auction is the worlds largest and oldest auction that primarily specializes in professional kennel sales. We also publish The Kennel Spotlight magazine. |
Look at the ages of some of those poor females....Maltese 1905 and used for "Morkies" for pete's sake, and Yorkies born in 04, 06, 07, 08 and 09 and all still breeding. Horrible!!!!! I'm glad they are out of business, but only wish some rich person would buy them all, have them spayed and neutered and placed in loving homes. I hope we continue seeing these heartless monsters go out of business. So many people these days making things VERY hot for Pet Stores and I would love to see Oprah do a major segment on this. Her last one just wasn't long enough. |
So sad, what is wrong with these people? All they care about is themselves. |
What disgusts me is these poor babies are held out side in pins but bigger than usual and they don't have names just numbers. "we have sold dogs over $5000" quite ridiculous. I feel for these babies though cause two of mine were rescues and they came from puppy mills. |
Yes 3 of mine we have adopted came from a Puppymill. Two of them had their numbers tatoed on them in the ear and the belly. Sadly I only have one who is still with me. They have been such a joy to have. |
This is really sad, but not surprising anymore :( |
It's this mentality that sickens me. Quoted from the site: "The fight for your right to earn a living raising dogs has only begun, don’t get discouraged. We will see you there, Bob" |
Some rescue ladies I know went to one of this company's auctions a couple of years back. There were so many chihuahuas and so few buyers for them, the poor dogs were selling for .01 (yes, a penny) apiece. Even at that, some didn't sell, I shudder to think what happened to those poor dogs. This company used to be called SW Kennel Auctions. I noticed per their site they are branching out now and hold auctions for anything, not just dogs. I'm in hopes that is a good sign....as in, not such a great demand for dog auctions because of less breeding by these millers. |
UGHHH!! that site made me MAD!!! i dont want to think whats gonna happen to those poor babies.... selling them to the higher bidder???!! aaaaaaaggrrrhhhh!! IDIOTS!! |
