At my witts end. Help!! So about a year ago we adaopted a little morkipoo from our neighbor. We have almost broke him of all the bad habits... but he still marks. We even moved apartments cause it smelled so bad! we have 2 other yorkies and had no problem until this one. I dont know what to do. Our apartment, couch, pillows, carpet all smells like pee. How caqn i get it out for good? We steam clean the carpets once a month but I need something to work in between times. also any help with the marking problem would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch |
Is he neutered? |
no he is not. when we got him he was really sick and weighed 2 pounds because they werent taking care of him right. well now hes all better but I feel like hes too old... hes almost 2 years old now. plus the vet said that neutering only helps with the marking on 40% of puppies. my others are neutered and one kept marking even after but he eventually stopped. |
Get enzymatic cleaner.. like Oxy Orange. Most pet stores sell some sort of enzymatic cleaner. To break marking and or urinating in the house, is very time consuming. But you can tether him to you, ie; put leash on his harness and he goes where you go. This is so you can "catch" him in the act, and correct immediately. When you can't do this, he is either in his xpen or playpen, or crate. |
Invest in belly bands. |
If he's already two years old then I'm not sure if the neutering will help :/ I have no other advice then. I wish you the best of luck! |
I would try neutering him. 40% chance of working is good to me. Better than 0%. Great advice also given above by other:thumbup: |
Cleaner = Nature's Miracle Other Advice = Get him neutered... 40% chance is better than nothing |
