LOL. I understand that feeling completely. But I have to say it isn't a whole lot easier with teenagers. |

I really hope this all works out...maybe taking Deliah at times would help the situation like weekend play dates and what not...lets us all know how it works out! I'm worried about the adjustment of the baby I'm about to have with my dogs. Even though my dogs are very used to little children and babies-not on an everyday 24 hr basis...I'm starting to pretend schedule them based on what I anticipate now and they are no longer allowed in the bed where baby will be-neutral areas are a must for kids and dogs...just a side note I have a rule at my house if the dogs go in their kennel or on their bed- no one can touch or disturb them in any way...that's their "safety areas" and the kids rooms are often off limits to the dogs for the same reason (although the kids love having them in there most of the time). Time sharing is a must and having kids involved in the process of pet ownership needs to not only be required but made fun and not a chore-hope your friend figures out how to make this work for her...biggest suggestion with a baby and dog I can give someone is-walk them together as you can see here it's a family deal with us... You should really get her on here too! |
