I would just see how it goes. If they love each other then I would put them together. They are both young so my guess is, they will be happy to have each other.

I'm so glad that you decided to do this. It's going to make your friend feel so much better knowing that her girl is in a good and loving home. And Pnut is going to have a full time playmate.

Does your friend live nearby you? I'm sure she will still see Delilah a lot, you guys are friends!

Congratulations. They are both adorable and I loved hearing about your DH's reaction. She is a lucky little girl to be going to such a warm and loving home.

Yes she does..like 40 mins. I told her i will put her on my webcam when she misses her!

You may want to consider picking up Pnut's new sister at a neutral location. A mall, groomer's or something like that. That way she doesn't see her previous mother upset at leaving her at her new home. Also, when going in the 'new' house, they will kind of go in together...might make a slight difference psychologically. Couldn't hurt. At least her last memory of her 'mom' won't be of her leaving, crying and not coming back for a long long time. She might seem more like a visitor when she comes if her last sight of her was at another place.

and CONGRATS!! Welcome to the boy and girl pair yorkie owner club....I LOVE having both of mine! it's the best seeing them snuggle and love each other and play together and then love on us. Sometimes both on my lap sometimes both on dh's lap and sometimes one or the other on each....but it's the BEST having the two of them and i'll never be a one dog house again. i wish you all the best and can't wait for more pictures...btw i miss talking to you it's been awhile :D

Thats a good idea, i will have to tell her, see what she thinks. I know she told me she wanted to hang out for a little.. so i dont know. I want the whole dropping her off to be a good expierence!

I think if your heart is in it you should give it a 2 week trial! You seem like a lovely gal. My worry is that you said Dahlia's owner is waitinf for another yorkie. WHAT IF THAT does not work and she thinks she can dump the new puppy on you? Sorry, I dont mean to be so pessimistic!

I think when she said her friend had a 1 year old the Yorkie Daliah was waking up constantly and that she was pottying all over the house it was too much with another on the way...she meant her friend was having another baby...not another Yorkie...wow I hope I read that correctly also. I always wonder how people can survive anything with children so close in age, mine average 5 years apart.. soon as one is in kindergarten and I'm like YES! finally...then...here comes another one (I'm joking-call it uncomfortable pregnancy humor)

Oh good a baby and not a Yorkie...remind her to take lots of vitamins! I read somewhere it actually take the human body 3 years to fully regenerate and recover after pregnancy! Congrats to your friend, and you looks like you both have new family members, and it may have all worked out for the best! Let us all know about the potty and barking issues, I didn't ask before but did you have that problem while watching Deliah before?

3yrs wow. Mine are 23mths apart with a miscarriage in between. My MIL, who just passed, had one every other year for 26yrs. Crazy.....

i was but now i'm back in my town that i live working in parks and rec (my degree) for the community center....i often miss the vet but i make more and have benefits here so i'll stay :D we do have dog obediance on WED so i still see puppies at work :D

No not really, she was always good at my house. We think it because she isnt getting enough attention and she is acting out. Daliah was really close with her Momma (brianna) once the 1st baby came, Dalilah wasnt the baby anymore! So we both think she will do better with us, all she will get is attention!! I feel bad for Brianna, to have to make that choice.. but i guess you have to do what is right for you and for your furbaby.... i would never be able to give away pnut!! But that is just me, so the only thing i can do is support my friend and make her comfortable with this new transition, b/c i know it is killing her!

Good for u, i worked at a vet as a tech a while back, i couldnt handle seeing the cruel people sometimes... and the Vet i worked for was a real ... u know what! How did Sadie like her brother when you first got him, i know Sadie was the only baby for awhile.... how did she handle it?

Well, Last night I was up all night thinking if this was the right choice for my family. I woke up this morning not knowing if I was making the right choice.

I got a call from Brianna, and she told me that she doesn't think she is going to be able to give up her baby! I told her that I was up all night thinking if it was the right thing to do. It was so odd how we both were thinking the same thing!

I told her that she should keep her, I told her many women have babies and have yorkies, she just has to put some time in her. I told her that is where Daliah belongs is with her. She has been with her for 3 years! She agreed. I told her to spend some time with her and train her, give it a good try in a week and I am sure you will see an improvement, all she needs is love and disicplne!

I posted some Pics of Pnut, he is very happy! Is it bad I bought him a Hello Kitty Blanket? haha

Very, very cute. It would be hard to give up a yorkie. Under those circumstances, though, if she doesn't have time to spend with her with one baby, how will she ever do it with two? I hope things work out - for the yorkie, too.:)

Thanks, I hope she works on it. Yorkies and Babies are hard work, I hope she is able to give everyone time... :D I think the thought of really giving her away got to her this morning, so maybe that will get her to do more for the Yorkie!

Maybe so. I hope so. If she is acting out now, then after another baby comes, she may see a side to that yorkie that she's never seen before. They can't be decorations around the house. They need attention and someone to play with them, take them for walks, and someone to love on them. I know mom gets tired, too, so where she will find the energy after the baby comes, I don't know...

hmm, well, it is good to know for all concerned that she has a 'fall back' position... My babies were 23mths apart, I had no dogs at the time (35yrs ago), I know that if I'd had a misbehavin' puppy at the same time as those two skinkids, someone woulda got strangled, and I'm not so sure it woulda been the puppy...... I don't have any idea how you young mommies with furkids do it. You have my undying admiration.

I'm sure knowing she has an open door will be a comfort to her. Babies and dogs are a tough combination sometimes.
