Remember chocolate is deadly careful with the stockings I found this interactive chart awhile ago and posted, but i felt the need to do it again. If on Christmas morning you fur butt gobbles up a chocolate ball don't panic right away. This chart tells you how much chocolate our dog can eat (by weight) before they vomit, have rapid heart beats, tremors and seizures and die. if you lose this thread dont worry the chart is in the library,I just know some newer members may have never needed the library and would not to look. This is such a great reminder for this time of year. It can happen so fast and hopefully will prevent a little one from becoming ill. |
Great reminder, and I want to add something. A couple of years ago, I got a purse for Christmas, and it had one of those little "dry packets" inside, and Joey got it and swallowed some of it before I could stop him. The vet's office was open, yay, and he said to give peroxide immediately. So that's what we did, and little Joey was okay. Maybe, we should remind everyone to have peroxide around for Christmas Eve! Of course, know your dog's dosage, the first half hour is so important. |
