Washable Potty Pads? Hello, I remember a while back someone here was selling washable potty pads? Can anyone tell me who it was that sold them and also how they work for you?? THanks!:animal36 |
Ordered mine from T. Bumpkins & Co. We LOVE them. Washable and reusable dog and puppy pee pads, belly bands, and diapers at T. Bumpkins & Co. |
I sell them as well. My website is Puppy Pads - Puppy Training Pads - Puppy Pee Pads click on the washable pad tab. |
Thank you! I have a thing we made where she goes but whenever she is upstairs she seems to think she can just go on the carpet! I think I would like to have a few pads around the house in addition to her normal potty! How often do you need to wash your pads? After each use? I've never used them so thought I would ask. Also, what is the best way to train her that she can go on these pads as well as her other potty? We made her a thing out of plastic with holes where the pee goes into the bottom tray. Not sure how to make her understand she will now have 3 potties and she can only go on them and never the carpet! Thank you! P.S. She always goes on her potty when she is in her ex-pen and I only notice her going upstairs on the carpet when she is free. Seems to be going on her normal potty when she is downstairs. Does that make sense? |
Lola, I clicked on your link and what you sell is exactly what I do NOT want! I want WASHABLE cute pads like the ones elemtchr99 just shared. But thanks anyway. |
Also, my Molly is only 3 pounds. Don't you think the small pad should do? I think the standard is kind of big. |
Hi Molly, The standard pad works well for my three yorkies who use it all day long. I do have a second one at night in another room. So, my babies are bigger than your baby and all three use it and it works just fine.... so I think your baby would do great on the small. Don't forget if you decide to order from us to use the coupon code below in my link for YT members. Thanks for looking :) |
Thank you Barney! I could really use a coupon!! I will be buying one, maybe two soon!! |
I looked at your site again Lola. I didn't notice that you also had washable pads the first time I looked. I only saw all the disposable ones on the main page and assumed that was all that you sold. Sorry I missed that. |
I just love them. I have them in 4 places in my house front room, family room, , my studio, and the master bedroom at night. I always put them in the same place so they know where their bathroom are. First thing they do when the wake me up (all 4 sleep with us) is take turns going on the pad one at a time. I change mine twice a day. |
I'm curious? Do they need to be placed on something or can you use them just as they are? I figure since I only have one 3 pound yorkie, I could probably get a way with changing it out once a day??? |
I have one Yorkie...right at 4 pounds. I can go a couple days without changing...no smell whatsoever. I just pick up the poo when she does that and flush. |
Oh and I use the standard just so she has more room and is less likely to hang off the edge of the pad. Just be sure to always keep them in the same spot so she gets used to going there all the time. I only have one down in one spot in our house. |
I have 4 dogs that use them it's why I need so many. My Charm is 8 months now only 3 pounds my other girls Chloe and Claire are 9 months 5 and 6 lbs and Casey is my Maltese is 8.5 lbs. The pads don't smell I'm just fussy. |

Me too! |
Help Please do tell me. I plan to put a pad once I get it at the spot upstairs (right at the top of the stairs!) where she seems to go pee most often when we aren't looking. Do you think she will know that that cute pad is for her to pee on? Or should I do something to help her get it? Once she does get it, I plan to slowly move the pad to a better out of the way spot. For Safe :aimeeyork Scentsy Candles Visit: http://LisasForeverWickless.com :p~BUY~HOST~JOIN~:p |
Just be sure to take her to her pad regularly and praise and reward her when she uses it. Say the same phrase each time. I put Sophie on there and say, "Go potty." If she doesn't go right away and looks at me, I say, "Hurry up." She goes pee every time I put her on there. Hadn't had a pee pee accident in many weeks. Funny thing is thought when she's home alone, she always uses pad to pee and poop, but when I'm home, she pees on it but poops in the floor. We still have to work on that. She's doing great though. Love my girl. |
I have never been able to get Molly to potty on demand. I have to give her privacy and not look at her and hope that she will go. I plan on trying your suggestion though. I just hope she catches on soon once I get them. I hope with her being over a year it is not too late to still teach! :v My little girl is such a lover though. She is snuggled on my lap as we speak. I am so sick of this rain I have been listening to Phantom on You tube and posting my fav songs on F/B all day! lol |
Know what you mean. Sophie is on my lap now too. She has to be with me wherever I go. She will be 10 months old Thursday. I am glad I decided to pee pad train her instead of going outside. Don't have to worry about rain or cold. She is a diva and is super spoiled. |
Oh, and good luck!!! Also, what pattern did you buy? We have brown & pink paisley and the pink cupcake print. They are so cute! |
Oh for sure! My Molly would have been trampled on by our wild Lab if she had to go outside. OR picked up by a Hawk or even a Mountain lion which was once spotted on the hill behind us and we had a pack of coyotes there too this year. A mama and her babies. Oh.. and let me not forget the scorpion that my lab was fighting with one night at midnight and had the neighbors call me over! As for the pattern... I almost bought the pretty pink ones, but I think I ended up with dogs at the beach. I figured they would match better with my carpet and furniture. :) lol Also got the same so that she wouldn't get confused. Dork, I know.... |
Btw... I like your flipping avitar. How can I do that?? |
A YT member made my avatar. Sad to say I don't remember who :( There are a few on here that will. |
Oh well... It's pretty cool! I like it! |
I love my washable for little pups. I don't care for them for my adult dogs. They seemed to start peeing on anything laying in the floor...so I went back to disposable with them |
All three of my adult dogs use pads. I keep them in the same spots so that they know where to go. Barney is 100% reliable and will leave from one room to another to use his pad. Daisy is 100% reliable with urine but sometimes not as reliable with poop but she has Inflammatory Bowel Disease so sometimes on route to the pad, she leaves a bunny trail. Poor thing. Teddy is getting better every day. His training has been stalled due to his congenital bladder problems, neurological problems, and now his newly identified kidney problems. So I really don't expect him to ever be perfect, but he is pretty good - he goes on his pads, but sometimes he forgets where they are due to his memory problems. We just redirect him and help him get to the right spot. When I'm not home, I sometimes see accidents but he can't help it :( I just keep them in my kitchen when not home so it is easy cleanup. They are all good dogs. |
