Colour of eyes and type of coat. I have read that you can tell what kind of coat your yorkie has by the colour of their eyes in photographs. I have just taken a photo of Poppy and one of her eyes is yellow and the other red. What does this mean? |
I think I remember most of this, but doesn't ring true for 100% of the dogs. Puppies will always shine blue. Silky hair will shine green. Cotton coat i think is yellow or orange. i don't think I've seen red eye shine, so maybe the red eye was more orange? However, I have seen the same dog in different lighting conditions eye shine many different colors, so lighting may be a factor. Uni's eye shines green. Sometimes when the sunlight hits her eyes just right I can see the green with the naked eye, not camera needed. It's pretty neat. |
Typically yellowish or amber eye shine indicates a soft coat. The red you saw may have been normal red eye from the camera. |
Thanks. I think maybe it was red eye from the camera because she is still a puppy. But her coat does feel more soft then silky. :) |
