Super Frustrated! Ok, so as you all know I am the proud owner of Roxie (yorkie) and a chow chow named CC; Well we also just rescued a 5 yr. old Beagle named Marley, who has some issues and the owners were going to put her down. We probably wont keep her, but we are trying to get her to a healthy weight (she is obese, not fat, obese) and does have some dominance issues. But long story short, a little chihuahua mix named Pickles has found her way into our home. Let me tell you why...My mother in law owns this dog, well the dog has allergies which cause her to itch, etc. at one point it was so bad the poor thing was making herself bleed from scratching and biting. She put the dog outside, this dog weighs 10 lbs if that. It is 18 degrees at night here and the dog is outside, and obviously has been hit by a car and now her leg is injured. She limps on the right back leg. Well I didnt know that the dog had been permanantly put out until Tuesday when I come home and Pickles follows me in the house. I call my mother in law who lives next door, and she said shes not coming back in my house, I fixed her a house outside. This "house" is a black wire crate with a blanket in it,set inside of an old doghouse. OMG I was mad. So I told my husband like it or not , shes staying with us. He said you cant steal moms dog, I said watch me. I bought this dog for her way back when, so I am repo-ing her..lol...This poor thing is old too, like 8-9 maybe. She has no business being outside. She has been in our house ever since and sleeps with my daughter, and she will be going to the vet today. Wow , I start with one dog and end up with 4. What a freaking week! LOL..Sorry had to vent. |
Well, all I can say is what a wonderful person you are! Thank God that there are people out there like you, otherwise these poor creatures would be at deaths door. What is it with people who treat their older animals so poorly? I think that maybe you should mention to your mil that when she gets older, you will make sure that you fix an outside crate up just for her as well! |

How could anyone put a little thing like that outside? Good for you bringing her in! |
I agree, crate the MIL!!! |
Grrr! I get so angry when I hear of people treating their pets like that. These little guys are part of the family, not something you throw out in the freezing cold because.....well, for any 'reason.' Thank you for stepping up and doing what's best for Pickles! And for helping CC get back in shape and find a forever home. |
Bless you. You have a giant heart! |
You did a great thing! I'm glad she is safe and sound inside your house... A little thing like that has no business living outside. |
You are a wonderful, wonderful person!! Thank you so much for caring enough to do something. The world needs more people like you. |
Good job and Pickles thanks you too. When do we get to see pics?:) |
