Hello everyone.

We have decided to get a new puppy. I have been talking with a few people and today I visited a puppy. He was born on October 23rd, so he will be ready to come home in January.

He is of course adorable and I know we will love him to death. I'm trying to be as positive as I know I should be...even if it is a little hard. Our first Peyton will ALWAYS have a special place in our hearts. I wish more than anything that I could have him back, but I can't. He is in a better place now and I need to keep that in mind. :)

We are naming him Peyton also. We love the name and I feel like it is a nice tribute to the first Peyton...a way to honor his memory. From here on out I will probably refer to him as "the first Peyton" and the new guy just "Peyton."

I wanted to share because so many of you have supported me during this hard time and I want all of you to feel happy with me.

What an adorable little guy he is! He's got pretty coloring and such a cute little face. I'm glad you are getting him. I'm sure you will have trouble waiting until January. He will be such fun for you.:)

I'm so happy for you! Peyton is just too cute for words!

I know he will ease the pain of losing your 1st Peyton.

24 days is forever! But just think about all of the great fun you'll have getting everything ready for him before he moves in with you!:D

Thanks again! Yes, 24 days IS forever, isn't it? I told my husband I was just going to have to go get him and the momma and the other pups because I couldn't wait any longer! ;). Not really of course, just dreaming! :rolleyes:

I feel like I am "nesting"...like when I was pregnant and waiting for my babies to be born. (This is where anyone reading this who is not obsessed with Yorkes will begin to think I am crazy - and yes, they are probably right!)

I need to get an x-pen. I forgot that I used a baby gated play area with Siphia when she was a puppy. I don't have those gates anymore.

Then I am going to set up a little nursery area for him. We are getting him after Christmas, but I still have gifts for him.

I still miss the first Peyton so much, but having this new little babe to think about is really comforting. He just doesn't have a clue how loved he is going to be.

As for my Sophia...she was not happy to have a new puppy in the house and probably is fine being an only child again. I keep telling her the days are numbered! When I came home from visiting the puppies, she did not lije smelling them on me! :aimeeyork
