I have something very simlar to what bellbaby08 posted a picture of. I live in Japan, and they sell them in the stores, basically doggie play pens with a plastic bottom, and they have them in all sizes. Thats what I use for my 5 month old Blossom all the time. It great...bedding on one side and pee pads on the other. When we are going to be gone for a long period of time, I put a little water and food in there for her. At first she would potty in it, now, she holds it, even though there is a pad in there for her. I recommend something like it...she is doing great with housebreaking also. I take her out often, give her treats when she goes, and lots of praise. I have one pee pad out in the livingroom for her, she only goes on it if I dont take her out soon enough, otherwise she has learned to go out. My 2 year old Bella doesnt stay in anything anytime, and I trained her the same way as Im doing with Blossom. So with your litle one staying in a pen, really recommend, if you can find one, something with a bottom, to avoid pee pads moving around and accidents on your floors. It will just give her more room than her crate, but not too much like the kitchen. Blossom loves hers. She stays in it at night too :) |

THANK YOU VIVIANSNICKERS!!! YOU ARE AWESOME! So after looking on craigs list and seeing how cheap I can get a really nice pack and play..( i'm talking 20 bucks!!) :D I talked to DH and he thinks that is a wonderful idea!! I just wanted to thank you for giving me such a great idea, I would have never thought of that!! And to hear how much Snickers likes it, I think Peanut will too, Peanut really really likes his crate so I know he will just LOVE a play pen!! We are going to get one this weekend! So far we are doing pretty good on the training, it is day 3 :p Dh gets up before me so he is in charge of the morning care for pnut, DH said when he tried to take him on a walk, pnut just peed, pooped and ran to the door haha! DH said it was pretty chilly!! But we haven't had any accidents! So I think we are doing pretty good!! Anyways I'll keep you posted, and if you can send me a pic of Snickers play pen!! Thanks again :D |

OH YAYYYYYY!!!!! YT was down for me this morning, so I couldn't get back to you. But I attached pics of how we set Snick's up. He's in there right now even though I am home, like I said, he BEGS to go in. He comes in and out all day. No--no pee pee pads in there b/c he is outside trained. As soon as we come home from work and greet him, he runs right to the door. Attachment 333333 Attachment 333334 HUGS!! Snick & Viv |
YES!!! We bought our used on craigslist for 10 bucks!!!! The guy who sold it to me kept it so nice and clean and looks brand new. I REALLY hope this works for peanut. It's so less harsh than a crate. I think crates are horrible. The mesh sides are soft and of course all his toys and blankets make it so cuddly for him. When we are home and he wants to go in, we give him his bully in there so he knows he is being a good boy and gets rewarded for being so good while in his pen. Actually for the past few days, we had to take him out of there even though he kept running to it wanting to go in!!!! We want to cuddle and play with him and he wants to chill in his pen!! LOL. In the end I don't like any kind of confinement and I think after the new potential pup gets home and situated, Snick will be fine having free reign of the house again with his new brother. I can't wait!!! SMILES!!!! Snick & Viv |

I dont have a website, Im sorry..like I said I live in Japan as my husband is military and they sell them everywhere..they are wonderful. But the one bellababy08 posted looks great too. and looks like you can pack it up easily..mine is metal and doesnt pack away easy. I dont have a top on mine although I can purchase a top if I would like, but Blossom is not nearly big enough to jump out. I love it..before we move back to the states I will most def purchase another one or 2 to take for times that we may need them. I usually put my 2 y/o Bella in it if she has an icky tummy or what not, to keep messes off my carpet  |

What bellababy08 posted is about as close as I have seen. I know you dont want pads in it, and your baby after staying in it a couple of days would probably will stop using the peepads unless he/she needs them. Blossom at first did use them, now she doesnt, but if Im gone longer then expected and she needs to go, theres room for her to do so without having to hold it for so long or going and laying in it. Just an idea, seems better than being left in a crate all day long without being able to atleast walk around and get a little food and water and going potty if need be. |
So I was trying to upload pictures of what I have, and Im a big dummy when it comes to uploading on this site ..Ill keep working on it and maybe I will get lucky to get some up.. |

Well, i don't work, but i go to school. Vinny gets fed at about 5:00am every morning, about a small handful of dry food. I wake up at 6:40pm and eat(he goes outside about every hour or two). Then i play with him and pet him until school. My dad usually stays at home during the day, so he is there to let him out. When i get home, the first thing i do is let him outside, and give him a treat and tell him how wonderful he is if he goes. Then i go do other things (playing with him and letting him out in between.) Then i feed him dinner at 5:00 or 6:00pm. I then let him out half an hour or so after he eats. I then do other stuff, then before he goes to bed around 8 or 9:00pm, i let him out again and play with him. Then i do stuff, go to bed, and the repeat! :) loving owner of Vinny :) |
