These are mixed breeds you are talking about they can look like anything. They are not registerable as they are not purebreds. Bear in mind that both the yorkie and maltese have genetic problems especially in the Maltese is Liver shunt. Mixing will not give hybrid vigour if either parents are carriers and you get the hit with the combination of genes to produce a problem. Genes don't care if they come together in a purebred or a mix. |
It sounds like you have made up your mind. However, please keep in mind that if you get a sick puppy, you will pay the deposit and more. What kind of guarantee does this breeder provide? Oftentimes a "replacement" puppy is promised if the first one turns out to be sick. However, by the time you discover your puppy is ill, you've bonded with it and you will have no recourse. I would really urge you to reconsider. A lot of people wish in hindsight that they'd researched more before their purchase. You are here doing your research. I think if you read more on this site, you will understand why it's better to proceed with caution. |

I usually do not get involved in the heated talks about the worth of breeders do breed mixes. This time though I will speak up. In our search for a perfect pup I met with many breeders (ckc and Morkie breeders) both ends of the spectrum left me depressed. NOT every breeder who is CKC is great because of that title. The breeder who I ended up purchasing the pup from was a morkie breeder who far exceeded everyone else we saw. It was not easy to purchase one of her pups number one she insists you meet the parents. 2- she began training at 3-4 weeks and required us to meet with her to grasp her methods. 3- she has a facebook group where ALL or the majority of her past 'families' can speak to each other & exchange photo's with each other of the pups growing up (what breeder do you know that willingly opens up her client list??) She is 100% trustworthy loves her pups & has nothing to hide. We recieve Birthday cards for the pups... I think that this breeder can teach a lot of other's a lesson or two. Just had to speak up |
Hey Aaron, I am assuming you got the puppy. WANT TO SEE PICS!!!! We want to hear all about her!!! I know she is adorable!! Hope you had a great Christmas and New Year! Hugs, Jean and Daisy and Teddy Bear |
