The Joy (I mean lack of joy) of Potty Training Since we have two adorable furrbabies, the potty training challenge is double the challenge and effort!! Our little ones are now officially four months old. We have been working on potty training for quite some time and we seem to make some strides and then regression! Many times they go outside to urinate and then come in to do the other. How frustrating is that? We are trying to remain calm and keep on the routine. Gee I will be so happy when this becomes a distant memory! Anyone else have these potty training challenges? |
YES, lol although age may play a big factor in my situation. My Izzy is only 13 weeks but I would take her outside at first before the cold set in and I haven't gotten her a coat or boots yet...now it's cold out there and I decided to let her go inside on a pee pad. Works great ...sometimes. I can take her outside though, and she pee pee's then come back in and she pee pee's again...and poo poo's. We could stand out there on other days and she would just want to sniff around, take her time and so I'd give up that she didn't want to go potty and bring her in and find that she does it better on the pee pee pad. NOW, she is doing it on the pad and sometimes beside the pad....I'm being patient and wiping up really good with some special liquid spray I got for the odor so she won't pee on the floor because she smells it anymore. Got it from Petsmart. I have to be patient. She'll get it...one day LOL :( |
Yes! Piper was back and worth for a few months and now finally at almost 9 months she has done really well (knock on wood) There were times when she was around your dog's age and I was wondering if she could even hold her bladder. |
yeah, me too...that's why I am trying to be patient lol...she pp's on the pad everytime in the same spot. Got up this morning and she poo'd on the pad so crossing fingers...I never say never......yet! lol  |
