New Yorkie Bella Hello everyone, this is my first post in this forum. I just got a female yorkie which I have named Bella. She will turn 4 months on December 16th. I wanted to comment to you, yorkie experts, that she has a lot of silver hair on top of her head and some white as well, very light cream and tan on her cheeks and a little gold around her nose. her body is tan and black. what color do you think she will end up in her face? Happy Holidays. |
Welcome!! it hard to tell but from what I understand.. Their hair can keep changing till they are 3 years old... Izzy is 1 year and 2 months.. and so far her face has gone from Blackish brown and now it's more blond with some black.. |
thank you. |
I can't begin to tell you how much they change colors, in the first two years...Apple was black and tan @ 3 months...She had a little red/silver/white/black on her head and face, and a white spot, on her chest...At about a year, she was very blonde w/a mixture of silver/blonde/black, on her head...At 2, she is totally totally totally red in her face, ears, and head...Not a hair of white, silver or black, to be found...Her body turned from blonde to silver, and her legs are red (a little lighter than her face 'though)...It's exciting watching them change colors like a rainbow...Wish I was a better uploader of thumbnails and such, and I'd show you pics...I can't get them small enough, to post lol...I don't know how I got the avatar on there lolol... |
thank you Sweet Apple, that was good information. |
I just wanted to say Welcome to YT and congrats on your new baby girl. Post pictures when you can. We love pictures. |

Welcome! Can't wait to see pictures!! |
:welcome4:, my little boy has the same color markings on his head that you are explaining. He is 17 weeks old. The breeder said he would be blue/gold as an adult, like his dad is. It's just a waiting game I guess! Congrats. |
