I agree you all have done everything expected and more to find the original owners. I think you have yourself a new puppy! Merry Christmas -- sounds like this was a big gift for the puppy -- getting a home where he can be loved like he deserves! Thankful that you, your grandmother and the first lady who took him out of the road and cold were all there to protect him when he needed it most! |
So glad you rescued this puppy! I agree it sounds like you have followed the correct process to try and locate the original owner. Unfortunately, they have not come forward. As you say, go ahead and leave the fliers up; but I would proceed from here on out as though he were mine. IF the owners show up ~ well, let's cross that bridge if you come to it. |
1 Attachment(s) okay so hear is a picture of the little guy |
by the way i finally was able to re size my pictures and post them on yorkietalk |
If he were to be picked up by animal control he would be held for so many days then placed up for adoption. The owners would have no recourse at that point. You can leave the fliers up for a little longer. I would do what needs to be done, keep reciepts and if the owner does return to claim him they should have to reinburse you for the care you provided. If not then he will for sure be yours. |
