We were playing We were playing ball with one of her little squeaky soccer balls. I threw it down a long hall and it bounced off the wall and went into the air. When it came back down, she hit it in the air with her nose and it bounced into the air. At first I thought it was funny, but then I didn't hear anything. She had gone around a corner and I couldn't see her. Then I got a little scared. I said, "Kacee?" She came back to the end of the hall where I could see her and she looked sad. That was when I realized for certain that she hurt her nose. I told her to come to me and she did. I looked at her nose, but there wasn't any blood. She kept licking her mouth for a little while though. I told her I was sorry and hugged her. It always scares me so when I think she might be hurt. Needless to say, that was the end of our evening play session. I always feel so bad when she gets even the slightest bit hurt.:( Do yours ever get little hurts when you're playing like this? |
Poor Kacee! I'm sure your kisses helped her little nose. We have nose bumps fairly often in our house and the boys always need hugs. The worst incident I've ever had was with Maximo when he was still a tiny pup. He started zooming in my bedroom and tore around the corner into the bath area. That is when I heard a huge bump followed by a big yelp. Poor guy hit either the wall or the door jam. :( Luckily, he was just stunned and he was fine after some cuddling. |
I'm sorry this happened and I know how you feel. I took a tricks training class, where the instructor told us to get plastic Frisbees, and I hit Joey in the nose with it. I felt so horrible, it was a small Frisbee, but still he looked like it hurt him. We started using all cloth toys now, even the balls are cloth balls, if it hits him in the nose, I don't feel bad, and neither does he! |

Having Yorkies has made me understand my overprotective mother a lot better. :D |

This has only happened twice to Betty Boop....... When I throw her squeakies or frisbee down the hallway for her to fetch, she will turn and hit her head on the coffee table's metal leg! She shuffles her back legs on the carpet, like a mad bull, and won't come to me. She will always shuffle and kick her back legs whenever and wherever she gets hurt. I'm padding the table leg tomorrow! |
Poor Kacee! But you are such a wonderful mommy:) I am sure the extra kisses made her feel all better. I took Taycie to visit my grandparents before she was asociated with sliding glass doors. Needless to say when I asked her if she needed to go potty she ran head first into the door. I will admit, I laughed alot while I was trying to comfort her I couldn't help it;) |

Awww, poor Kacee. I am sure that she just wanted some extra lovins from mommy. :) When we first got Hot Rod, he was 15 weeks old very playful. He like to jump into you, well I wear glasses and he hit his little nose and head on my glasses a couple of times. You could see that he didn't know what was up. I felt so bad. I didn't want him to think that it hurt to be around me. I even started to take my glasses off while playing but darned if I could see where I thru the toys, lol. You can see now that he is careful around my face. Maggie has never done this so I guess I learned how to avoid the head on collision with her. |
I hope little Kacee is feeling all better this morning. I'm sending some gently kisses for her nose, poor baby. I've had things like that happen with mine and it's heartbreaking to see them hurt...even if it's a little hurt. Thank goodness for their loving forgiving hearts. :) |
These sends chills up my spine. I don't know what I'd do is Charlie or Natalie got hurt. Charlie seems pretty tough for a boy and don't run and jump like Natalie does. she is so tiny, I'm always scared she is going to get hurt. I hope and pray that Kacee is ok and just needed some of momma's loving. |

Reading these posts, I am recalling many things that I must have put out of my mind. Bo, I have the same problem with eyeglasses and the dogs. Jacquelinebabco, Maximo and I were playing with a towel and I lifted it too far up. When he finally let go, he went straight over on his back. My heart stopped. When Teddy joined our family, I learned quickly that I had to modify the way I had played fetch with Max. With two fast dogs running around, I accidentally put a sharp elbow right in Maxman\'s face. :( |
Awe, poor Kacee. I bet it stung a little. :( We have little boo-boos around here often. Someone slides down the hall into the wall racing after a toy or just the other day the girls got to wrestling and Cooper rolled right off the sofa. They usually have the stunned look for a second like \'What just happened?\' but luckily, they are always okay after huggies from mommy. I always think it is cute how the other sister always checks on the sister. They will lick eachother\'s nose, melts my heart. |
