I am sooo mad!!!!
 

I took Poppy to the groomers today. I asked them when i dropped her off not to take anything off her hair at the top of her nose as i am growing it to go bk into her top knot and that i am growing her hair out on her nose too and to not cut that either. She was so intent on taking poppy that she wasnt really listening to me so i said.... PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ANY HAIR OF HER FACE and pointed to the area i did not want touched with the sissors! Well guess what i get home tonight (OH picked Poppy up from groomers) and her hair infront of her eyes has been cut when it was sooo long and nearly long enough to go into top knot. I am soooo mad and upset:mad:. I do admitt she looks lovely but that is really not the point as in a few weeks the hair is going to be in her eyes again!!! I am so upset about it because i paid money and the woman has not even listened to me. I felt like crying when i seen what she had done. I was so mad i rang the groomers and left a harsh message for her to call me back! Do you think i am over reacting? I think Poppy looks lovely but the fact of the matter is they are ment to be a professional groomers and the owner of the place whos shop it is didnt listen to a word i said!!!:mad::thumbdown What do u lot think? What do i say when she calls bk? xxxx

i dont think you are wrong for being mad. id be honest with her when she calls back and tell her you are not happy because she didnt listen to your requests.

I would be upset as well. In fact the same thing happened to Max. They chopped ALL the hair off his head and face. Tell the owner exactly how you feel and that they just lost a great customer.

Give Poppy lots of love. She'll feed off your attitude. You don't want her to know that she didn't get a nice haircut (although it looks nice).

It happens on this side of the pond too... way too often. I groom mine at home. I'd be very upset too... I'd say something like "What part of 'Do not cut the hair on her face' didn't you understand?????" I'd ask for my money back too. :D

thank you. Poppy is strutting around the house showing her haircut off haha she does look super cute and fluffy..... wish i could get her hair to go so well after her baths. It just upset me because when i booked in the appointment for her i tried to explain over the phone that i did not want any hair cut off her face and could she write it on her card. She said to me no no just explain when u drop poppy off and thats whats made me so mad because they have not listened! Grrr! Poppy always gets lots and lots of kisses and cuddles weather she smells sweet or not haha :) xxxxx

You have every right to be uspest, very upset. You told her what you wanted and did NOT want and you paid for her to cut it the way that you wanted and she didn't. When she calls back I would try to calmly explain that you specificly told her that you did not want that part of her hair cut and she cut it anyway and if calmly does not work - rip her a new a$$. :D

Sorry you didn't get the cut you paid for. Hearing stories like yours is the reason why I refuse to take Fancy to the groomers, I love her hair long and I'm afraid someone would be scissor happy...

Not sure. Cooper gets an awful haircut every time he goes. But when I say "wanna get your haircut" he'll spin around and around in excitement like it's the best thing in the world. He loves it there and they love him. I think of it more as a field trip for him. He stays there all day and doesn't want to come home.

Hopefully Max will have better haircuts.

It will be ok furbutt. It'll grow out before you know it. Start looking for a new groomer and perhaps ask for referrals.

mine never come out right either. the one person that would do the best job charges WAY too much and is 30 minutes away. also she makes you show up before 8am to get started and we just do not get up that early lol. oh well they always look cute despite their choppy mess of hair cuts but i defin. don't blame you for being mad that would suck badly.

I would be upset too. You pay good money to have things done the way you want them to be done. When she calls you back just tell her that you are very disappointed that the haircut was not the way you wanted it to be.
One groomer shaved Sammy down once and he looked ridiculous. The same groomer did the same thing to my neighbor's dog too. Needless to say, I have a different groomer now who is very good to Sammy and listens to how I want him cut.

I saw the pictures of you and Poppy. There is nothing anyone could do to ruin Poppy's cute looks. Now you can tell the groomers that they need to take the ear plugs out of their ears.;)

My sentiments exactly! I pay as much at the groomers as I do for my own hair cut and I expect the same level of service...hopefully your concerns with the call with be met and it will just be a one time deal of a horrible mistake...if not, no apology or say free grooming service next time in the least to make up for it, etc; here's my motto...if you can't provide the service I pay for I'll go elsewhere

I am so sorry. There is nothing worse when someone doesn't listen. I work as a stylist, although its not a dog groomer, I can understand your sitution completly. I have always put my preferences aside when I do others hair because even if I think they need more then 1 inch off, I dont want them to come hunt me down and get mad because I took 2.

I didn't find the picutues, but she does look unbelivalby cute in the avatar. It would be interesting to know what the breeder has to say for herself. Did she never hear you, miscommunitcate with someone else, forget? Did she apologize?

Poppy hasnt been groomed yet although she really needs it, Im just scared that they will make a mess and I havnt decided on a good groomer yet.
There is one 5 minute walk from my house but we took Jess there and they shaved her butt! it was so sore I refuse to take Poppy there EVER.
Which groomers did you use so I know where not to go LOL? :D
I also want somewhere were I can stay with her until they groom her and wait ect. Because I couldnt leave her all alone in some cage not knowing how they treat her. :(
I know Im being really fussy and at this stage I will probably have to learn to do it myself LOL.

Do you know where White House Farm is in Morpeth? Because next to there they have a dog hydrotherapy place and they have a dog grooming service there too, and I heard you could wait while they are groomed.. which is what I am looking for.
Atleast if you were there while she is being groomed you could stop them if you saw them coming towards her face with the scissors!
Im not sure if they just groom old and injured dogs so after Christmas (when I plan on getting Poppy groomed) I am going to give them a ring and find out. :)
Its out of the way for me but I would rather travel a bit furthur if it means I could stay while she is groomed.

Hi Rachel, I live Hexham way so Morpeth would be to far. I think there is a groomers around here that comes to your house, I see the van driving around Hexham all the time, think i might give them a call. Then poppy (Poopy her new nick name as she can poop for England haha) can be groomed in her own home :). I left a message on the groomers phone again today to call me and still no phone call from them, I am not very happy at all about it!

Yeah I think that would be a good idea, Ive read a few websites which adertise mobile groomers.
I would be really angry at that groomer too, I also hate human hairdressers who totally ingnore what you want and do what ever they want to do grrrrrr.

I know how you feel, every time I take mine in it is as though I am talking to a brick wall sometimes. Sometimes we work toward a goal and just because it does not fit i there scheme, whack! Thank goodness yorkies are so adorable that they look good no matter. I am so sorry for the loss of your topknot. I hope you will feel better soon.
