Ahah! Finally mastered the art of kong stuffing... lol Oh the small joys in life, it's taken me a year, and finally I've found a kong stuffing for Harley that works. I'd love to hear what everyone else stuffs in thiers, here is my winning combination: hard cookies from the Bark & Fitz Bakery cheese flavor, crumbled, some kibble lightly soaked in chicken broth (those are his new treats) plugged at the top with a small glop of cream cheese. I would love to fill it with cream cheese, but I don't think he could get in there to lick it all, and that may cause bacteria, if he decided to hide the kong, and it wasn't washed for a while. What's your winning combination? |
frozen plain yogurt works for us. |
this will be interesting for me as i have just bought one lol, i put their buscuits in but they all fell out, :D |

must give that a go,:animal-pa thanks,:animal-pa so peanut butter smooth is ok for them |
I've filled Bridget and Greta's with green beans and apples mixed - topped with a little bit of yogurt or peanut butter, just enough to keep the goodies inside for a while. |
I use Wellness kibble, carrrot bits, Mother Hubbard baked treats and chicken liver Kong treats (fat end in first). Sophie loves her puppy Kong  |

baahahahaha, I just gave Harley another kong, he had run out of kibble in his dish so I thought I'd add a few kibbles to test if he'd eat it... well he pulled a few kibbles out, and promptly spit them out... then grabbed the kong, jumped on my lap, and dropped it... as if to say, "momma this stupid thing is broken, it's spitting out crap..." lol |
Chewie's opinion is that kibble tastes so much better when it comes out of the kong! Generally that's all I put in it (maybe a treat in the bottom), but I pack those teenie kibbles in pretty tightly, so it takes him a little bit of work to get them out. |
Levi usually just gets his regular Orijen kibble sealed with peanut butter in his Kong...but he will occasionally get some special treats thrown in there, like chopped carrots. |

I atually haven't filled his Kong in a while, but I usually do plain yogurt and fill it all the way up (I have the small sized Kong) and sometimes I'll stick a few treats in there, whatever we have (Wellness, chicken jerky, etc) and then freeze it for a few hours before giving it to him. |
