Yesterday was the WORST ever! I got up and went to school but came home early. Teddy passed. :cry8: He was fine when I left and gone when I got back. I am so heart broken over the little guy. I miss him so much. I keep looking over to the spot where his bed was wanting to pick him up or talk to him. He has been on my mind all day. He had started coughing again and it was pretty bad and everything irritated it. The vet had said it was collapsing trachea. I was taking him in and didn't get the chance.:(

Gizmo wouldn't eat or drink for me the night before or in the morning but was acting fine. I gave him a little karo syrup like I had done in the past with Gidget. When I got home I got him out of his his kennel and set him down and he couldn't stand up, he just kept falling over! He had no control! I had an appointment for him later in the afternoon but called and rushed him in. He had a hypoglycemic attack and his levels were 15! The vet told me he didn't understand why Gizmo wasn't seizuring! :eek:
I was so scared! He had to have an IV put in and be kept for several hours. He is doing much better now. Eating ok, canned food per vet orders until better. I haven't been able to get him to drink any water today though. I got him to lick a little off my finger but thats it. I'm going to try some karo in it. I gave him some plain yogurt as a treat and he liked that.

That's hearbreaking.:( I hope Gizmo continues to do ok. He probably isn't drinking, because they gave him fluids, plus there is liquid in the wet food. I hope you will be ok.

I am so sorry about everything. I've been in you shoes with bigger dogs and I know how awful you must feel. I hope little Gizmo continues to improve.

I'm really sorry to here about Teddy - I had a similar thing happen with my Doberman Josie. It is always a hard time when you lose a loved one. I hope Gizmo will be feeling back to normal soon. Take care of yourself.
