Air dry? How many of you let your babies air dry after a bath? Just wondering...I blow dry my girl, but sometimes I get lazy and wish I didn't have to do it!:) |
mine air dry's he hates!!! the dryer and his hair comes out very nice without it so works for us...I just gave him a bath yesterday, I hold him a few min... then he runs around like a complete nut! then i take is spray cream rinse and then brush him and he is so handsome :) |
No air dry here. My girl can't wait to get in front of the dryer, as she thinks she is freezing to death. LOL |
Never air dry, especially in the winter. Coat's should be brushed dried. |
LOL mine acts like a complete nut too until I can get the blow dryer on...then she still acts like a nut! :) I do the same thing with holding her for a while- we just got done bathing her and I sat down next to the fire with her wrapped in a blanket...so loved that part until I got the blow dryer out. That's what got me thinking maybe I didn't have to do it all the time. I just wonder how her coat would dry since I've never done it... |
When mine were little and it didn't take much to get their hair because it was still pretty short, I dried them in front of the firplace in the winter. I just sat with them in my lap in front of the heat and brushed them till it dried. Now I use a dryer. It would take too long to get their coat dry with just the fireplace. |
Oh man... I NEVER air dry...She get a bath once a week. We use a warm towel from the dryer and a hair dryer... She get way to cold without it... She has a cotton coat and I thought that it would dry out her hair... But we use a great shampoo and conditioner and her coat looks beautiful :aimeeyork |
Morgan's coat looks terrible if I allow her to air dry. I always dry her with my blow dryer, a spritz of leave in conditioner, and a pin brush (if her hair is long enough). Morgan loves the blow dryer. She wants me to "dry" her every morning when I do my hair :) |
Just in the few seconds it takes me to get the bath cleaned up and the dryer plugged in, they act like they are going to freeze to death right there in the steamed up bathroom  |
I blow dry. Bailee's hair is kinda long and he would get rather chilly in the winter months if I air dried ~ even with the heat turned up. :) |
Only in the summer. Bubba loves the dryer. Sissy acts like I am trying to electrocute her with it. |
Mine HATE the blow dryer. Thankfully, because they are both in short coats, they dry very quickly with just a towel and the air. |
I also towel dry and brush, it doesn't take to long with her short cut. I never thought of putting a towel in the dryer, I may try that next time. |
Haha these are hilarious- Millie acts the same way, like it's -20 degrees in our house. That's why i wrap her up, I think it calms her down a little bit too. She hates the dryer, and her hair is fairly short- so I may give it a try. But definitely not right now since it's so cold. |
Mine did not like the blo-dryer, but anything else wasn't an option because our vet told me to never let her get too cold. The thing that really helped me was that I bought a stand for the blow-dryer. I lay down a couple of towels to give her good padding, and turn the blo-dryer on in the stand. She was much more comfortable with blo-drying after I got the stand. I think she likes the fact I can't get the dryer too close and I have both hands free to have on her while she is drying. The stands are relatively inexpensive and after having one I will never be without it. |
I air dry Fancy's hair 99 percent of the time but she does love it when I get the blow dryer out. She roots around in circles while I blow dry her sides and legs and then she lets me dry her head last. :p She has silky hair and it looks good either way. |
It has made a huge difference in how my two tolerate being dried since I bought a table top dryer made especially for that. I have both hands free to brush them and also for the occasional treat. I've also found that if I get my face down near theirs while I'm drying them and talk really calm and loving they actually enjoy it. The table dryer doesn't blow as hard and doesn't seem to be quite as loud - at least it's not right in their ears. |
I blow dry my two because they are too cold otherwise. Couver loves being blow dried, but Khloe runs away as soon as she can after she's been dried. |
I ALWAYS air dry and the coats turn out perfectly wonderful. They dry so fast its amazing anyways. |
I let Jackson air-dry always. We've never used a blowdryer. Well, tried once. He flipped out and it was too much work. I keep him really short anyways. |
Chloe is scared to death of the blow dryer and the vacume cleaner. We air dry, she does this crazy running dance and really dries very quickly. |
Puppy Zoom Dance Dry! I wrap Ziva in a big towel before she can shake, Then switch to a baby towel while I clean her ears, Then lay a couple towels on her dog beds and she takes care of the rest!! By the time I catch her to comb her out she is pretty much dry! |
My little man loves the blow dryer. I think he could stay there all day! :) |
I usually blow dry, but there have been days where I let Roxie air dry but only when its warm out. |
During the warmer months, all we do is air dry. But in the winter blow dryer re-emerges. |
I let Gatsby air dry I used to blow dry but i think it dried out his hair so i dont do it now i just turn the whole house up to like 80 degrees for about and hour and a half and let them dry themselves |
