Bed not big enough So I have given in to letting Buddy sleep on our bed every night. It started off with my husband not wanting Buddy sleeping on our bed as he did have his very own BIG bed and that is where he should be, but over time things changed, starting with- 1. wanting a lie in on Sat and Sunday morning, so when going to the bathroom during the night, I started to sneak him onto the bed = good lie in 2. going to bathroom every night, door being pushed open to a bouncing dog wanting to get into our bed = took him back to his own bed and told him to go to sleep 3. given in to Buddy during midnight bathroom trip, he now sleeps in or on the bed, either way I am now sqashed and dont get much sleep Need bigger bed, british bed are soooooo small Anybody else, tried to keep to the rules you set and broken down? |
The only solution is to get a king size bed.:D No rules here. She rules the roost. |
We bought a king sized bed so we could have plenty of room :p |
Rule #1: Rules are made to be broken. Rule #2: Refer to rule #1 With that said, I like to snuggle, and my DH is not so much of a snuggler, so there is no jealousy involved when I spoon with my dogs instead of him :D! It's a win win deal! Get a bigger bed. |
I have a King size bed, 2 small yorkies and me and bf and the bed is not big enough! haha They both like to squish up against me at night for warmth, I get hot and try to move away from them, so they move closer, soon I find Im on the edge of the bed and they are in the middle where you could park a Mack truck there is so much room!!! Little brats! LOL Yes, I start out putting them in their bed each night, but my BF has seen me lift the covers in my sleep and let them under. I give in when I'm sleeping, thats BAD! LOL |
I have all 4 in bed with me. Luckily DH doesn't mind sleeping in the other room. lol |
Lexi would rather sleep in her own bed than in ours! But in the mornings she wants to cuddle so after her early morning pee, I often let her up. When I first moved into my boyfriends house, his doberman slept on the bed. Think your squished with a yorkie? Try a doberman. She was the biggest bed hog and would squeeze in between us and try to muscle me out. She now sleeps on the couch but knows that she can sneak in after I get up for work. But if I don't go to work, at my usual wake up time - she'll open our door and try to sneak into bed. |
Set and broken rules? Hmmm... saw this in a forum the other day, pretty much describes my situation at home: Rules for the Dog :animal36 1. The dog is not allowed in the house. 2. OK - the dog is allowed in the house, but only in certain rooms, sometimes. 3. The dog is allowed in all the rooms, but must stay off the furniture. 4. The dog can get on the old furniture only. 5. Sometimes the dog is allowed on all the furniture. 6. OK - the dog is allowed on the bed, but only by invitation and must not sleep there. 7. The dog can sleep at the bottom of the bed, but must not disturb the occupants. 8. The dog can sleep on the bed, but not under the blankets. 9. On a cold night, the dog can sleep under the blankets. 10. Humans may sleep in the bed, provided they do not disturb the dog. Quote:

I have a king size bed and my cat takes over my side of the foot of the bed. My new yorkie baby will have to share with her when old enough. lol |
I have a twin bed since my apartment is small and Rhia takes up like half of it. -_- She either curls up next to me or sleeps on my pillows above my head! :P When I stay at my boyfriend's, his two giant 18lb cats cram themselves between us. He has a full size bed and it gets crowded with the kitties and us. I say get a bigger bed! :D |
