Is it just me or... Does your Yorkies follow you through-out the whole house too? I mean She always has to have me in her sight...I normally use my laptop on the sofa because she likes to lay right at my side. But if I use the desktop she will come and lay at my feet under the desk. When I go into the laundry room..yup shes there ..lol..Even when I go potty!!! she will nudge the door open or will scratch at the door till I let her in. If I go outside and don't bring her with me... She will sit at the glass door till I come back... She can't jump on my bed because it's really high up so I put her up there myself... But if i happen to go in the hall way, she will move herself right to the egde so she can see me..I have NEVER had a dog be this close to me before.. She doesn't seem to have trouble with me leaving if i put her in the kennel. Do you of your furbabies to this too? |
Levi totally does this. He follows me everywhere like a little shadow. He doesn't have to be right next to me (right now, I am in a recliner and he is on the sofa), but he does like to keep me in his line of vision. Even when he is at the dog park running around like crazy with his little buddies, he will come check in on me every so often. He is totally comfortable if I leave as long as he is in my bedroom with the door shut. He spends his alone time in my room when I am in class or at work. I sit him on my bed when I am leaving and he settles down immediately. But if I leave him loose in the apartment and run out to grab something from my car, he barks like crazy until I come back inside. Crazy boy. |

My Sophie is the exact same way. Follows me everywhere. She was on my lap on the couch. Moved her over to go in the laundry room. She jumped right down and followed. When I sat back on the couch, she jumped right up to get in my lap again. If I go outside, she waits by the back door till I come in. There's no where in the house I go that she's not right behind me. |
Yes I have to say...it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside to know that she loves me that much to know where I am at all times... |

and if they are sound asleep and you wake up quietly to sneak to the bathroom, the entire crew wakes up and sleep walks to the bathroom with you and then walks you back to bed. Yep, total shadows. Bear and Baxter don't do it. Only the yorkies. Love it! |
Rhia is definitely my little shadow. :P She'll sometimes go and lay on my bed in the other room by herself, but if she catches me checking on her or getting up to do something she's right back by my side. :) |
max max is my shadow..... it is a typical yorkie bexaviour.... |
Rizzo does this as well, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it is because I'm always getting snacks for myself, lol. Then again, he doesn't even budge if I get up in the middle of the night to pee, unless it's to move to my spot in the bed :P |
Yes, Calleigh is always where I am. I always feel she wants to keep track of me in case I go somewhere, she will be ready. :) I'm so used to her following me. If she's not right there, I look for her, wondering what's she's doing. :) |
My daughter has a little one that when she is gone she follows me everywhere wanting me to hold her. My daughter has her so spoiled the dog hardly touches the floor. |
That's my Sissy to a tee. Bubba would rather just sleep on the couch-I guess he figures since I didn't go out the door that I'm home somewhere. So there is no sense wasting energy, I be back. |
Yes and I have cats that do it too so its an entourage of following |
Yes, to all of the above. Pippin has to be on my lap when I'm on the computer or on my lap when I'm on the couch. I just bought a jigsaw puzzle, and I can't sit at the island to work on it unless he is in my lap. He doesn't try to grab the pieces he just sits there like a little lamb while I work on it. We joke he should have been named Velcro. I don't know what I would do without him to watch over me. lol |
