Again, thanks all for the suggestions. I've been putting him in 'time out' for 15min when he acts up. I give him 3 warnings (when he starts to growl or bark @ brother) and then I tell him, "time out time out". I pick him up and bring him into the closet. When his time is up, I open the door. The first couple times he'd run right out. Now, he'll sit there and I'll let him know he needs to be a good boy. Believe it or not, his barking has been cut down more than 50% in the last couple days by doing this. It really is helping. Oh, someone asked if he is neutered, yes he is. Thank you LadyMom for the poem and advice on behaviorist. |
