Face clinic Do you have a Face Clinic or a low cost vet clinic in your city? I just found out we had this about a month ago. They do spay and neuters for $20, low cost vaccinations and low cost annual visits withg wellness bloodwork and heartworm test. They say their mission is to make standard vet care affordable to every one. You dont have to qualify either it is available to everyone. I would love to see them or someone get involved with low cost emergency care. I just donated to them because I feel they are providing an invaluable service. I am going to take my cats there for shots and spay/neutering. |
We have one and had Piper spayed there. She did perfectly fine, but she has this nastly little scar, unlike Meadow's that was done at a regular vet. When talking to a couple of different vets about it...you need to check about the Drs. doing the procedure....several of them are vets out of school that need the practice and experience, others are experienced and volunteer/donate their time to assist. For me personally, I wouldn't go that route again, but that is just me. Piper has a bump and scar like I mentioned and a staple thing (you can feel under the skin) of some sort, but our vet said that there was no need to remove it unless it became irritated or an issue. Most vet offices use the "higher" end medical devices, sutures, staples, etc, but you pay for it. |
