why is bella to attached to me?? Bella is 1 and she is the cutest most loving thing ever, but there is one problem. She is getting to attached to me and does not want to go outside with anyone but me. i'm the one who usually takes her out on her potty breaks most of the time because she's my baby and the kids are usually busy with their friends or homework so i try not to bother them so i just take her out myself, which i don't mind because i love to spend time with her, but last night i was to busy with my little girl so i asked my son to take her out on a potty break, and when he was putting the leash on her she did not want to go with him. He literally had to drag her outside so she could go potty. She cried and would sit and not budge. this was the first time i had ever seen her do this. Now according to my kids and husband she always acts that way She never wants to go with anyone but me.Now i will continue to let my kids take her out so she can get use to the idea of going, with some one other than my self, but why is she acting like that. I mean i know she loves me and loves to follow me around but is it normal to be attached that much? is there something else i should do? If anyone has any suggestions please let me know:(:idontknow |

Ally was getting like that and I worried that she was too attached and would be lonely/devistated when my older pek died (soon) and I left the house to go somewhere. We adopted Tia this past Easter to keep her company. (I am home all day.) Well, it kinda worked. Ally grew up fast and has a sister to play with, instead of mom all the time. Both are attached to me though. If I am in the house, they will not go outside with my husband. If I am not, he said that they will. Ally stopped the shadowing thing, for the most part. She follows me, but is not at my heals, like Tia. She doesn't want to battle Tia for my attention. She doesn't try to open the bathroom door and get in....she leaves it to Tia.. Go figure. I kinda cured one that was too attached and created another. I love them both and have tried to make my leaving the house not a big deal. My husband is working hard to make time to play with them and I let him give them their treats at night. We make a big deal when daddy comes home and they run to the door. When Ally's busy bone is empty, she will actually go find my daddy and throw it at him. I think it's working! |
They are for the most part one-person dogs. |
