New Pup Tips I have a 2 year old 7 pound yorkie(boy). I will be adding a maltese in 4 weeks she will be ready. Shes only gonna be about 4 pounds. You guys think i should keep her apart at first from my lil boy yorkie since shes only gonna be around 1 pound when i bring her home. Any tips on how to take care of a t-cup. Im only getting her so my lil boy wont be alone. |
I don't see why, get in there and socialize her right away. I usually wash my teacups and drain them by the sink. Sorry I couldn't resist. My Teegy met his first new dogs all in the first week I got him. |

socialize the two it will be great |
I got a yorkie puppy and he got brought home to a 20lb schnauzer. I let them meet right away and socialize. Now they love each other and play :). I think most dogs know that the puppy is a baby. Mine is really careful around my yorkie, he knows when I say No if gets too rough. Your yorkie should be fine with his new sibling, good luck! |
when I brought my lhasa apso home for a companion to my yorkie, he hated her. She was tiny would fit in the palm of your hand. She was a runt and well thats another can of worms. BUT, he would look at her and run away and hide in the bedroom. He was so apprehensive of her and wouldnt have anhything to do with her. Not even look at her. He came around. But they still don't have a "lovey" cuddle together relationship. They run chase each other and play some times but thats the extent of thier relationship. |
i love how you said new sibling cause that what they will be, but i know my lil boy is gonna try his moves on her...lol Quote:
