Help 2 Attachment(s) We recently got a Yorkie from Craigs list and 3 weeks later she had puppies!! The problem is we dont know what she was breeded with. I have attached a picture of one of the puppies can anyone tell us what opinions they have on what she may have been breeded with? All I know is the people we got her from also had a 10 month old black yorkie poo. :confused: |
IMHO, they look mostly Yorkie, so the Yorkie Poo might be a good guess for the father. But I'm not a puppy expert. Did you take your new girl to the vet within a few days of getting her so you could at least know ahead of time this was going to happen? The best idea is to get them into the vet as soon as possible so you know you have a healthy dog. |
I am with Klyn, they look mostly like yorkies but I'd bet the yorky poo is the father. I'd definitely go get all of them check out by the vet, even the mother. |
Yes we did take her to the vet so we knew what was going on lol. I called our vet the day she had the puppies and he said he really didnt need to see them until they were 7 or 8 weeks unless we had concerns. They alll are feeding well so everything looks good!!! |
Welcome to YT. Im sorry that you were in this situation, what sort of person gives away a pregnant girl :( Glad that you were able to get her to a vet and that they are doing well. Seen as they had a yorkie-poo chances are he is the father but you wont be able to tell much until they are older. Have you contacted the people who you bought her from and asked if she tied with their male? good luck with everything! |

Depending on how badly you want to know, once the pups are older, a lot of vets can do DNA testing to tell you what the pups are comprised of. |

Oh my.... I feel very sad hearing your story. I can't beleive people would give you a dog and not tell you she was going to have babies. I would call them and ask them what the heck is this. Not that it would do any good. People like that, there is just no use for them in this crazy world. I am glad the dog and the puppies have a nice person to take care of them. Good luck and take care of your new family. |
