My friends have two girls, April and Ripley. That little April, known as licky, is little miss bossy pants, and the more aggressive and dominant of the two, but they are both cuddle monsters. They are absolutely the reason I finally decided, 13 years after my last dog died, I could love another dog. I'm a bad aunty because when I'm furbutt sitting I let them snuggle in bed with me (they don't get to do it at home ). They fought to see who could get in closer, to the point Ripley said, ah bite me April I'm going under the covers. All I could do was laugh. I love those two babies and Ripley gives the best hugs and sleepy snuggles ever. Teegy is very funny with them, they all get along, but when they come to me for kisses and hugs he jumps in and says, hey back off she's my mummy not yours. I just wanted to share a loving tale about two gorgeous loving Yorkie girls, even though I have a preference for boys. |
Girls have cuter clothes, but boys are more loving! :D |
I have a female and a male. My female is independent, bossy, moody, snappy, aggressive with her toys but i love her to pieces. she was very easy to train and listens well but is a little on the sneaky side. My male is the opposite. He is cuddly, always wants attention, wants to be held 24/7 and a little hardheaded. training has been difficult. he listens to the command for a hot second and then is back to doing whatever it is that he is doing. he is very easily distracted. but he is the sweetest things and so darn cute! |
i know there must be someone on here that prefers girls!:D |

She goes pretty much everywhere with me. That's why I said get both. :) The original poster was dismissing boys just because she thinks she wants a girl. Words can't describe how much I love my boy. I just want her to understand that boys are precious too. To the OP: Anything you've heard about the boys marking can be pretty much eliminated by 2 things - get him neutered at 6 months old and don't let him pee on anything upright, like a tree or fire hydrant until he's older. He'll never learn to lift and he won't mark. Start house training RIGHT AWAY so he learns the right place to pee is outside. The only thing Loki "marks" is the mailbox (he tries sooo hard to lift) and if another dog pees in our yard he will pee over that spot. But he doesn't walk around lifting on every object in sight, because i never let him do that when he was little. |

<--- male Yorkie! He's the best! Just so affectionate & always is eager to please you. I have a cute male Poodle/Terrier and his personality is just fun and sweet. I have two female dogs, a Poodle & Bichon Frise mix, both are just lovely grrls that love to be with me all of the times but boys are just different. My boys don't mark & they both are neutered. My grrls were spayed before their first cycle yet they mark a lot during the walk. :p A lot of people think Blue is a grrl. It's good that Blue doesn't know what a grrl is. :D |

I have 2 female Bassets and 1 female Shorkie. Zach is my little boy he is warm loving and crazy. If I ever get another dog it will be another male then I'll have a full house 3 girls and 2 boys. I really do not have a perferance I love them both. If Zach had been a girl I would have taken him anyway then he would have been Bailey. |
I have my little boy :) We saw both parents (both very friendly and adorable)... and out of a litter of 5, this little baby just started nuzzling me and licking my fingers while I was petting him. Love at first sight :) |
