lazy yorkie.. Is any else's yorkie as lazy as peanut?? He use to get up with me when i would get ready for work, he would follow me around and hang out :( now when i get up for work he will lay in his bed and sleep!! Kinda makes me sad lol. i even have to force him to eat his breakfast! its so funny i have to grab him out of his bed to give him kisses! Then once he hears my keys he will run out of the bedroom and want to go with me.!! Is anyone elses yorkies as lazy as pnut? |
Well, everyone knows Jackson as this totally active dog, which he IS. But mornings... he tends to be pretty lazy. He LOVES to sleep in. Last weekend, he slept til 11am with me, lol. When I got up, I took him outside to potty, and he came right back in to go back to sleep. So yes Jackson definitely has his lazy moments. But if I were to wake up him up, and take him to the dog park, I think he'd be all for that too. He does have a good on/off switch. |

Yeah Brandi is a little lazy too. She's even lazy walking sometimes. Sometimes she will just sort of moozy along (usually when it's hot outside) like she is so tired and then other times she walks like she is late for an appointment. I figured she sort takes after me......I'm somewhat of a couch potato and so is she. But then again I think she is just a really laid back yorkie, the only time she is really is full of energy is when I am coming home or mealtime. |

Charlie is pretty lazy except in the mornings, by 7 he is ready to go outside.....now Natalie on the other hand...is up at 530 no matter if it is the weekday or weekend. she will get me up to let her go piddle (even if she goes on the piddle pad) but when she comes back to the bedroom she yaps until I get up....:D |
I live for the day Baxter wants to sleep late! The dog is never still. We have to hide his ball at night. He will get us up at 2:00 am wanting to play with it. |
My boys turned 5 in Sept and I think they thought they earned the right to sleep in now. They used to get up when I got up, now they lay around in bed and fall back asleep. Our night ritual is to cuddle in my bed for a bit and then put them in their bed at the foot of my bed with a blanket over them. Most mornings I wake up to find one under the covers between my legs and the other between our pillows sleeping away. Sometimes we get up in the morning and they are still in their bed amazingly and they don't even stir. There was one time I was up for a good hour before they showed their sleepy faces in the living room! LOL I was sick one time and went to bed at 5pm and did not get up until noon the next day, we had out of town company that night (well that week) and no matter who was up and making noise, my bf said they did not get up one time to leave my side. He had to physically pick them up and carry them outside to do their business twice! Talk about lazy! LOL |
Vinnie has always been a lazy morning dog since I adopted him. He will sleep in until 9 or 10 if I let him. He hates getting up in the morning and will actively avoid me when I have to walk him early before going into the office. It's really funny when he runs from our bed into his bed on the living room. This morning, he tried to hide in his donut bed. Now Alex is a completely different story. He's hopping to go as soon as I get out of the bed. But he is good and will wait until we can go out. |
Noy my Rocki. 5:30 every morning, weekends included. Grrrr:mad: |
How old is Peanut? Levi is almost 3 and still likes to be up and moving every morning by 8AM...which is fine on weekdays, but on weekends, I'd like to sleep in! |

Rocco get me up betwenn 5 and 5.30 every morning. but we dont get right out of bed, i have to lay there with him laying on his back and me scratching and petting him for at least 10-15 minutes till he is fully awake... |
Rocco's laziness tends to mimic mine. If I decide to be lazy and sleep in till 8 or 9, he'll do the same. But when I'm up at my usual 6 or 7, he will also be up with me. Such a momma's boy, and I LOVE it :D!!! |
My Duncan!! He used to jump out of his bed and follow around when any one is up. But now, if he just opens his eyes and glimpses at me, I feel so honored.. He only gets up when he likes, like before going to bed, he gets up to monitor me even though I'm just stepping 2 feet away from his bed.. Quote:

thats what i like about my cooper, (aka bubby) he's both at times. of the mornings sometimes he is up and olaying while i get ready and some times he stays in his bed. He has a super hyper side where he'll run and play fetch for an hour at a time or take a spell where he will start running through the house full speed. Then there are the times he sets in my lap or naps w me and snuggles for hours. |
