Is it crazy to impersonate your Furbaby? I find myself talking in Khloe's behalf; a little too much. Picking her up and shaking her little paw at the kids and telling them "You guys are making my hair turn gray; now I need some box color" and other wild things. Everyone in the family is making fun of me, and tells me that they are fearful that I will do it in public. Is my next pit stop to an asylum or is this common? |
I'm sooooo glad I'm not the only one who does these things!! I do, what my sons call, Sammy voice. I'll bring Sammy into their rooms to get them up and say, time to get up big brother, in my Sammy voice. I do sammy talks alot LOL!. If anyone outside ever heard me they would probably have me committed!!:D |
You are not the only one! I do that with Coco all the time! I mostly say "Hey, hey, HEY!! Do you seeeeee me?!?! I want my ears scratched! HELLLOOO!!" or "C'mon let me on the chair! Please?!?!" |
You're definitely not alone. I do it too. The worst part is when I ask Levi a question and then answer it myself...in his voice. :D |
Hahahahahaha.... I think at least 4 or 5 times a day, I grab Harley, walk over to the bf, and say "kisses attack for my daddy!" as I lean Harley into the bf's face for a kiss attack. Trust me Harley talks A LOT in our house. |

I am always telling my husband the dumbest things that the dogs tell me (bc, clearly, I understand them better than the hubs and therefore I must translate for the dogs). For example, I say things like: "Wylie wants to go to engineering school" "Wylie wants to learn how to drive" "Marcel loves movies about the 18th and 19th century" "Marcel wants an early dinner tonight" "Pfeiffer said she needs the Juicy Couture leopard coat" "Pfeiffer told me she would prefer a tiara to a hair clip" See? You're not alone. |
Sorry. I stand on my fifth amendment right:D |
""you peeples r cwazy, seriously. I nebber nebber talk like dat, oh cwap, here comes momma...""" |
I never pretend to be my dogs. That would be very immature. Baby and Bug are dogs. Not people. |

I did it all the time with Sophie and now I am doing it with Scooter too. The worst thing is when hubby use to call me and tell me to put the phone by Sophie's ear and he would talk to her. Is that crazy or what? But for some reason I think she knew it was Daddy, she always perked up when he would talk to her on the phone. |

I'm actually starting feel normal now. Thanks guys!! :D |
I do this all the time, and so does my BF. We do it with all animals we see though not just our pets. :) My mum also puts a voice on for Poppy and Jess. |
I do it too..But let me tell you something funny! When we went to the beach last weekend, there was this big burly guy with the cutest maltese type dog.He was walking through the water, holding the dog mind you..lol..and everytime a wave would hit his leg, he would say "weeee, isnt that fun.." Funniest, sweetest thing I have ever seen, he had huge muscles and didnt "look" like a cutesy dog person. Then he spotted Roxie and I and told his dog "Muffin" to look at the other cute dog, it could be her friend!" LOL...I wish my dh was more like that man! LOL... |
Yep! Guilty as charged! However, I have three different voices. One for each dog. LOL! |
I love this place and each of you equally-crazed yorkie owners! Only here do I feel safe in admitting so many little Yorkie-querks. We share a lot -- most of all, love for this proud little breed that can wrap us around their paws so quickly and permanently! Annie, Ben, and Candy are all singing the same tune right now -- that I should get off the computer and play with them! :) I know this because they have had to go outside 3 times in the last hour. They are just trying to get attention. So, last trip out we spent some extra time and played with some toys. I gave each of them a different voice as we played too. :) |
Hilarious! I very seldom speak for Tallulah (but then it's early days for us). I do however, frequently talk to her in this voice my nephew calls "Oh please, God, don't talk in that ooky baby voice!" I have never done that with my other dogs and cats. And I have just realized it's the same ooky baby voice that drives me crazy when my sister and niece do it. Somebody kill me now! |

I do it too. Especially when my hubby come home and Freddy is jumping all over him. I'm like: "Daddy is home! Daddy is home! Pick me up! Pick me up!" :) Because i know that is what Freddy wants and my hb just pets him without picking him up for kisses.... |

My Dexter is such an attention hog, he will lay with you and if you so much as brush him with your pinky finger, he rolls over and with his legs in the air he'll paw you to pet his belly! LOL So whenever he does that I'll say in his voice of course "Pet me, hug me, love me, pet me, hug me, looovveee mmmeee" LOL |
ROFL! Love it! |
