Its taken almost 3 years but i finally have it. A cuddly little dog. when i got Gatsby i really wanted a dog to cuddle with but Gatsby was very independent so i settled for just loving him when he would come to me but now in the last few months he has slowly started to become more cuddly he is sleeping beside me in the bed(instead of on the floor) and laying on my lap while we watch TV(instead of in his chair) coming to me to be brushed and petted and cuddled (instead of me chasing him down to brush him twice a day) I dont know what made the change but i love it i love getting to spend so much time cuddling my boy just wanted to share. everybody have a great day. |
:jump28ib:YAY!!! I am so happy for you. Mine are cuddlers too most of the time. But I know how lonely my lap is whenever they decide to sit with daddy instead of me. Peggy, Monkey & Maddie :daisy: |
I'm so happy for you. I sit here at the moment with a lapful of yorkie!:D |
Lizzy is my cuddle bug. I love to lay on the couch just to have her lay with me, even though she climbs on my lap all the time. She tolerates my hugging and kissing her all the time too. She's so darling, I love her to pieces and she knows it! |
Love the cuddlers. My son was never one to snuggle unless he wanted something, so now my Selphie is making up for it :D She's on my lap now... |
I keep finding excuses wear he can cuddle with me I will lay on the couch so he can snuggle or go to bed early and read so he will lay on my chest |
Awww, I do that too. |
My little Princess is also a cuddler! She has ALWAYS loved to cuddle with me from day one. I love having her want to be snuggled up next to me. |
I know exactly what you are saying, Misslissa. My Zhoie girlie has been very independent from day one. She will be 2 yrs in Jan. and she has just recently started coming to me on her own to snuggle. I will dropped anything I'm doing to just sit and love on her. :D She was a slow one to build trust in...but it's wonderful to see the trust in her little face when she looks at me....aw, just melts me heart. |
Jackson just turned 2 and for the past few months, he's gotten ALOT more cuddlier than ever before. He's always slept in my bed but now he will hop on the loveseat I watch TV on and snuggle, resting his head on my forearm and at night, instead of just sleeping on the bed with me, he's actually snuggled in real close or resting his head on my legs, etc. I love it! I find myself resisting to move alot so he won't move, or trying hard not to sneeze, LOL! |
my new favorite is when im laying in bed and he comes up to me lays down on my chest and rolls over so i am forced to rub his belly or shoo him away and i always rub his belly |

Aw that's so sweet! And I can relate! Rhia was her own little person for the first year I had her. She was all over the place, so independent. She would cuddle, but would rather be running around like a crazy dog. Now that she is 2.5 years old, she's a major cuddler. Sleeps next to me or at my feet at night and wakes me up in the morning with lots of kisses and cuddles. |
Awww, so sweet! And I'm so very jealous! I'm still waiting on my wild man to calm down enough to snuggle. He sleeps in my bed, but almost always at the foot of the bed. When I am sitting on the couch, he's usually running around playing with toys. He'll hop up to say hi, but he jumps right back down to keep playing. |
I have noticed this in the past couple months with Couver. He has been sleeping under the blankets snuggled up to my chest for the past couple weeks. I think he's using me for my body heat :p However, he always just seems to want to be touching me... so it can't be just for his selfish reasons... he must just love his momma :) |
