HELP-Simon is humping his pillow! My Simon is a neuter 6 month old, 7 pound pup. He has started folding his pillow in half and started humping it. I am afraid he will do this to his brother Nigel who only weights 3.5 pounds. Should I take him back to the Vet? He was neutered at 4-1/2 months. It freaks me out to see this behavior. Thanks in advance. I am new to this site but really like everyone and especially the great advice. |
My Yoda still humps his kitty cat stuffed animal even after he was fixed. We basically let him do it, as there's no harm in our case and he doesn't do it to anyone's leg or any dogs in public. Hope it all works out for you. |
Welcome to yorkie talk!!! My 6 month old Hercules likes to hump his lamb chop puppet toy. I say go for it! Like fasteddie said, at least he isn't humping legs! We call lamb chop "humpy" sometimes! :p |

1 Attachment(s) The only two times my seven month old Austin has humped anything was the day after we brought him home when he was 9 wks old, he humped his stuffed gator and about two weeks ago when he finally humped his stuffed Ollie the ostrich. We also have an eight year old neutered retriever/chow mix who is SO SWEET but about a week ago he attempted to hump Austin - we were not worried cause he is so big - over 100 pounds! We couldn't help but laugh! The dominance thing is very true and makes sense. Even though they are the best of friends, its a daily battle between the two who is king! We plan on breeding Austin, and I worry that he won't be able to perform sometimes! :p |
^^OMG! I had the same thing happen to my Frankie. He's going on 9 weeks now. My husband told me that he caught Frankie humping his beloved Teddy. I didn't believe him... I told him he was too young to be doing that type of thing. I guess not! lol... |
Bouncer likes to occasionaly hump things and he has a horrible time occasionaly humping other dogs. It's completely a dominance thing. He's expressing that, "hey, I'm the man in charge here so DON'T get in my way!" lol You'll get used to it. |
