I ♥ Leg Lifters I find it adorable that Kaji lifts his leg when he goes piddle. I'll admit, it's inconvenient now that he uses piddle pads and it even gets messy sometimes. I know the pad thing is temporary so it doesn't bother me to clean up after him. BUT, I still think it's adorable that he pees like a "big boy." ;) Am I the only one? |
I *almost* always find it cute... a few times when he was little he totally missed the pad and had it dripping down the wall- then its not soo cute. ;) |

LOL Razz does this too. I just love it. He tries so hard to pee as high as his big bro:D Just a thought, what I've done is let the hair on the end of the penis grow long, then the urine stream is directed downwards, and if he goes on a pee pad, hopefully he won't splash the wall etc. I also wipe off the hair daily, with a non scented baby wipe. |
You can fill a two liter soda bottle with kitty litter to weigh it down and put it in the center of the pee pad so he has a target. |

What's up with the percentage sign? |

But yeah I remember the first time Jackson lifted his leg, it was soooo cute! But we have never used pads so I don't know what type of difficulties that would make haha. So it's not a problem for us. He never lifts indoors and he usually squats to pee outside except when we're at the park, etc, so I find it really cute when he acts all like a big boy! ;) |
I think it's cute, but didn't post about it, for fear of appearing weird lol...Buzz looks like Jaden Smith in Karate Kid, when he hikes...Sometimes he gets so excited about it, he tumps over! I pet sit for a 3 lb. yorkie, that is 9 1/2 yr. old, and omg'sh, that's the tiniest little hike I've ever seen:p...His mom puts the pad in the bathroom, w/the pad about 4-6" up the side of the wall, and it works! I have another client that has the pee pad in a low plastic container, about the size of a pee pad, and the lid propped up, inside the container, against the wall...She has a pee pad on the lid and the container...this works great too! I like ladymom's idea of the coke bottle w/cat litter in it too...Glad a few others think the tiny hikers are cute, now I don't feel so weird :D |
Lol sometimes pnut will lift his leg so high he will fall over alittle, he will usually catch himself, but its really cute to see. Good idea about growing the peepee hair out, i usually trim it.. |
LOL I love it! Sometimes Robbo still pees his baby way and I find that soooo cute now! I love when he wobbles with one leg up too! Although I was round at the breeders house yesterday playing with Ruby and her brothers and sisters before we get her in 2 weeks and Robbo came in for a few minutes as he has done each time and the puppies were climbing on my leg and Robbo walked in sniffed a few of the pups and walked round the room back to me, lifted his leg and peed on my trousers - looked at me as if to say you are mine not theirs and strutted off to play with his daddy! LOL! Needless to say I did NOT find that so cute this time! |
I thought it was cute when Rhett did it outside. But yesterday he lifted his leg on the wall in the living room. Not so cute. |
Ha! Chewie's outside-trained, and it IS funny outside. Not so much when it's my kitchen chairs, etc. Hopefully he isn't so far along that a neuter won't help with the inside-marking! |
Just a quick questions. When did your guys start lifting the leg? Freddy doesn't do it yet. My mother in law told me that it is funny to see when they finally try to lift the leg. |
My neighbors female schnauzer tries to lift her leg. They had a male dog before getting Pepples so I think perhaps she is trying to simulate what Bubba is doing???? She kind of squats and lifts. It cracks me up every time. Peggy, Monkey & Maddie :daisy: |
Agreed, I think it's adorable, especially on these little guys. When Rocco first "learned" to lift at about 6 months old, he would lift so high he would actually fall over :D!!! Too cute. He does it now only when he's on a walk, but in the back yard, he pees like a baby since he's been neutered. |
